The silicone skin is secure, thick and protective and allows access to all the ports on the iPod Nano®. The tuneband has a comfortable stretchy Velcro® band that fits both large and small arms. I really like the silicone case that it comes with. I had some issues with the screen protectors. The stickers on them don't come off very easily and I couldn't get it to adhere very well to the screen. Also, the armband is a little small. I have larger than average arms and it doesn't fit comfortably on my upper arm but it's fine when I move it down a little bit. All in all, a good purchase for the money.

I was looking to purchase my first armband for working out at the gym. Did a lot of research, read many reviews and settled on the Tuneband from Grantwood Technology. I can't speak for the competing armbands out there but I can say that the Tuneband does exactly what it is supposed to. Adjusts easily, stays securely on my arm, keeps the iPod snug and dry. The screen and wheel protectors work as advertised and do not affect my ability to adjust the sound with the wheel. I have been using the Tuneband for almost two months now and I'm very glad that I chose this product.

I got my Nike+ sensor 2 weeks ago and am using it with an iPod Nano (1st generation, the squarish one). It was very easy to get started, I just skimmed over the instruction booklet, popped the sensor in my shoe and the receiver in my iPod. The menus were pretty easy to follow to start a workout session.

I noticed pretty quickly that the run distance was off by about .1 miles (it was recording a 1 mile as 1.1 miles). They are supposed to come preset to fit most people, but I recommend calibrating it if you are picky about the mileage like I am.
I calibrated it and now it is accurate over the course of an entire run.

One problem I did have was that while I could upload my runs to NikePlus.com through iTunes, the runs were not showing up on my iPod except right after I finished the workout. After I had turned it off, I could only see my workout totals, but the details of any of them. It was annoying but since I could still upload them to the site, I was ok with this glitch. Then a couple days ago my iPod randomly restarted and voila! my entire run history is now showing up on my iPod.

So now, after a couple glitches/adjustments, things are great and I'm loving this product. One of my favorite features is the ability to check your progress at any point in the run and it tells you the time, distance, and current pace. Also, you occasionally hear encouraging comments from famous athletes like Lance Armstrong when you reach milestones like fastest miles and longest runs.

I map my runs on (...) and the sensor was accurate to .01 mile. I measure on mapmyrun because they take into account elevation whereas regular google maps doesn't. Anyway, I didn't even calibrate the thing... I didn't have to! It is an option tho.

And then, I didn't read the book all the way through and left the sensor in the shoe and went shopping, did chores, walked to the mailbox... blah blah blah and now its been 2 weeks and I am getting a low battery warning. I will have to replace it soon but this time I will take it out of the shoe because it uses battery when in motion.

I'm training for my 1st marathon so I just adore this tool. It helps me to set my pace. I look down at the pod to look at my pace, displayed as 10'30"/mi or whatever it is... Since that is my goal pace, I can adjust as sometimes I run too fast or too slow. For the same reasons it helps with intervals :)

I also love the Nike site that keeps track of my PB times and goals... etc.

The nike plus system is great and easy to use but there is a great weakness in the sensor. The sensor uses a battery which is very difficult to replace. In fact, Apple and Nike suggest you buy a new one instead. Beware when buying used because there is no way of knowing how long it was used before and the battery could die very quickly.

I've had this product only a few weeks now but it has already help my training tremendously. No more looking down at my watch every 30 seconds wondering when I'm going to be done with my run. First I would like to say the company has great customer service. I recieved my product 3 days after I placed my order which was a pleasant surprise. The package was recieved and the directions are clearly understandable for the ipod caseing and the screen covers, I've had no problems with either. I ordered the black silicone case because my nano is black and I think it looks ultra sleek. The armband is very stretchy but seems to be able to adjust to a small size. I have not had the oppurtunity to run with it yet (really bad weather) but it seems promising. Really great product as far as I can see.

I purchased this product and gave up on the screen protector very quickly mainly because I followed the directions loosely (I always do!). The silicone skin protector fits the Nano very well and protects it from the elements. I left customer service my feedback about the product and figured that was the end of it. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a couple of emails from customer service to follow up on my experience and offered to replace the product. Since I only had an issue with the screen protector, I declined the offer. To my surprise, within a few days I got a package in the mail containing a couple of screen protectors and an email describing where I went wrong. I followed the directions more closely this time and the screen protector worked just fine. At first, it was hard to believe the screen protector was sandwiched between two outer layers, but after removing the first outer layer and lining up the screen protector with the screen, it became obvious that that was the case. I bought many things in the past and dealt with many customer service representatives, but none came close to such level of dedication and professionalism.
A description of how to correctly apply the screen protector follows.
1. MAKE sure the screen is as CLEAN as possible. Use the cloth to CLEAN it and keep all dust and particles away.
2. The screen protector is a sandwich of THREE clear layers. A tab will mark the first layer. Slowly pull on the tab to lift the clear plastic layer #1. The tab pulls up a clear layer, exposing the sticky layer that will be placed on the screen.
3. Go slowly applying it. Line it up well and if you get a few small bubbles, don't panic. They can be pressed out and can even dissipate over time.
4. Once applied, pull off the top mask (clear plastic layer, marked with the tab #2). Pull up the tab WITH the clear plastic layer (the tabs mark the clear plastic masks/layers that protect the screen protector. Pull up the tab with the clear layer).

Okay so i bought this for my half marathon training, after by the nike + product and was not going to fork another $150 for trainers after buying some new ones less then 1month prior. I was scepticle about the product as other shoe pouches i had read about on the internet. So i took a leap of faith and forked the cheap price out. When it arrived i slapped my footpod in the pouch and ran a distance i knew exactly as i had ran it hundreds of times. after finishing my session the foot pod was safely nestled in the pouch which is great. and the distanct was out by less the 2% which i can just about handle for the price.

great product shows that cheap can be cheerful =D

would recommend for short distance runners as the 2% lose isnt as bad until you get up in to higher numbers

The usb charger works and my wall chargers so I don't know what apple did with this. It is my only complaint. (this replaced an older - probably 1G or 2G nano)

Maybe I just got a bad nano, maybe not, but I have had problems with it since I purchased this unit a year ago. My first problem with it was that one day it stopped working right in the middle of an audiobook I was listening to, so I took it in to the Apple Store and they fixed it, but ever since then the battery life has been poor.

Now that the warranty is over, I cannot get it to charge at all, even with it connected directly to the computer. I'll have to take it back in and probably end up paying a lot of money to either fix it or purchase a new one, but I'll be taking a serious look at replacing it with one of the ipod's many competitors.

It's too bad because other than this problem, I really do like it...

The armband is so comfortable that I forget I have it on. No slippage. I never have to fidget or fuss with it -- once it is on, we're gone. The iPod is perfectly snug in the skin. It is both easy to get the iPod into the skin and so secure fitting that I have no concerns at all whatsoever about it falling out as I run or do yard work. The iPod controls work perfectly in the skin -- absolutely no interference from the device.

This is a very high quality product with which I am execptionally pleased.

I needed a new armband that would hold up to my frequent, heavy workouts. Being female, I have med. sized arms but this band was uncomfortable, not secure and the velcro didn't hold well, especially once damp from cardio. The silicone did not wrap securely around the device as I would like and the slits in the back allowed for sweat to directly contact with my iTouch. There was no extra cord pocket either for my headphones. It did not rest securely on my arm and I would not recommend this armband if you want something secure and sweat-proof. Spend the couple extra bucks and get something else.

This is a nice alternative to much more expensive iPod armbands, though it's also the first I've tried.

It works well overall. The band itself is elastic and adjustable via a velcro strap. The iPod fits into a silicon casing that holds the iPod in place and can be used as a regular iPod protector case without the armband itself. There are openings for both all the ports and controls of the iPod classic. The iPod is fairly secure and I've never experienced it fall out or come loose, even during activities such as running. The headphone jack, when plugged in, actually acts to secure the case to the iPod. The band even comes with an adhesive screen protector, which is a nice bonus, though I don't use it.

However, there are some design flaws and practical issues. First, the band can be slightly uncomfortable at times. In order to keep your iPod secure around your arm during running or excersize, for example, you may have to tighten it a point where it starts to cut off circulation somewhat and feels tight. I'm also not really sure where the band is intended to be worn. I've been wearing it around my bicep, and only recently discovered that if I ran the adjustable velcro strap through the slit in the back of the silicon case twice, rather than one, I could make it tight enough to fit snugly around my forearm as well, which might not have the same problem. Since there are not pictures of the band in use and no instructions, however, I'm not sure which method was intended.

More problematic, however, is the orientation of the iPod in relation to the band itself: it is oriented so as to be parallel, rather than perpendicular, with your arm. This is more than just a geometrical preference; it is not adjustable (rotatable) so if you where the band around your bicep, you'll have to wear it "upside down" so that you can lift your arm and actually read the screen or use the controls. On your forearm you have a similar issue, though it's much easier to read and work the iPod. I am finding that the best location for functionality is on the underside of the forearm (with the top pointing towards your wrist. However, sometimes I get the feeling that I'd like to rotate the thing and wear it on the outside of my forearm (more like a really big and clunky watch.

Speaking of clunky, running with an iPod classic strapped to your arm is still a bit awkward as it bounces around a lot. This will probably be much, much less of a problem strapped to the forearm rather than the bicep, however, and may not even be an issue at all (haven't tried it yet, but it feels so much more stable and secure).

Overall, I think the biggest flaw with this armband is that the silicon case makes the "hold" switch much more difficult to use (indeed, outright frustrating). But this isn't a huge problem, since you're not likely to need the hold switch (there's really not much chance of accidentily hitting the controls with the iPod on your arm rather than, say, in your pocket).

There are a few other problems I would list more as "unsolved problems relating to having an iPod strapped to your arm" rather than actual design flaws. For example, having your earphone cord dangling from your arm is not exactly ideal and can lead to inconvenient instanced where your cord will get caught on something that will pull your ears and/or out of the iPod (which could lead to damage to the audio port). I could imagine this potentially being dangerous... like when riding a bike or other sports. I'm not sure if other models seek to solve this problem, but this one does not seem to (you can try using the band itself to hold unused stretches of cord, but this only works so well).

All in all, I'm very happy with this product, although I may still take a peek at other models when and if I see any in stores so I can get a better comparison. One thing's for sure, though... for the price this is a great deal.

I've used other armbands to hold my Ipod and this is the best. It is simple and comfortable (does not pinch like others tend to do) and is comfortable for wearing for long periods of time. It also easily fits around my upper arm, which others I tried barely did. In addition it is easy to remove from your arm and the band is easy to remove and replace onto the Ipod skin.

I purchased this item when I first got into excersising about 2 years ago. I walked and did the precore at the gym and weights. So needless to say I didn't get much use out of it, (doesn't register on precore). But recently I started walking 10 miles once a week and wanted to see how long it took and how far I went. It worked really well.

Then last month I have decided to run a half marathon. So I have been on the tread mill and occasionally remembering to turn the program on when I ran. THEN LAST NIGHT I made myself run for 30 minutes on the treadmill. The machine said I went 2.20 miles at about 14 minutes a mile. Frustrating.

Then I looked at my Ipod and it tracked me at 3.03 miles @ 9.46 A MILE!!!!!!!!! WHAT A DIFFERENCE FROM THE TREADMILL!

So if you want accurate results and a good ego boost, go buy this item ASAP.

If you don't have the Nike shoes not a problem, they sell little pouches for the sensor to fit in, then you put on your shoe laces.

The Nike Ipod is a great tool for keeping you on track for running. I'm a biker as well as a runner and I never ride bike without my faithful cateye odometer keeping track of milage and speed. Naturally I was attracted to the idea of having a way to keep track of speed, milage and frequency of my runs.

I bought this expecting to find a complicated setup process but was surprised to find out it's actually very easy!

The best thing about this is that it's like having a companion to run with. I would like to suggest when using an ipod do this little trick I discovered on some of my mountain bike excursions. Get a set of sport headphones that have the wrap around ear things. Don't bother with the ipod earphones, they are fine in a seditary possition, but they tend to fall out when running. The sport earphones stay in your ears. In addition to this I suggest taking the cord of your earphones and instead of having them in the front of your chest, run the cord down that back of your shirt or jacket from your ears to ipod. This keeps the cord from dangling down in front of you and gives you the music you want with less annoyance.

Also one more thing, invest in the Nike Ipod Soundtrack. I have to say, I bought the "Original Nike Drive" music with The Chemical Brothers and it's fantastic. I think I have a bit of that "Clockwork Orange" mentality now, because I've been listening to the music for over a year now, only when I run and when I hear the first crash of sound from it I instinctively start running.

Other than that I suggest taking advantage of the great online community. Nike developed a "mini-me" concept that includes an animated charactor designed by you. One you sign on (Free) you can save the info as a screen saver and they were smart enough to put all your milage and last run info on the screen saver. They really thought of everything! Also the funny part about the Avitar is that he actually adjusts to your running habits. If you are running alot he is happy, jumping for joy happy. If you miss a few days running you'll find him board, playing paddleball, looking bummed out and playing video games saying things like "I sure could use a run etc..." It's actually fun and a great psycholocial reminder to get off the couch and run!

This Nike+ sensor holder is the best made one I have found. I have a cloth one with velcro, a pouch one big enough to hold a credit card & a small silicone one as well. The cloth one, you have to completely unlace to change from one shoe to another. The silicone one is difficult to remove the sensor to change it out. And the large pouch is just too big & cumbersome & looks hideous; plus the sensor moves around in it which gives inaccurate data. The Marware Sportsuit easily attaches, (no unlacing)& it looks sporty. It is also very secure in its design. It won't move around & give inaccurate readings with the Nike+ info. The price is reasonable.

With this product, anyone can use their existing iPod or iPhone with the Nike+ sensor without having to buy a Nike+ (read: "expensive") shoe. The product is designed to work with any shoe since it wraps around the shoe laces instead of in a special pocket in the sole of the shoe. The sensor is fits very snug in the pouch and the pouch is relatively stable when you are running, giving you a relatively accurate readout for your workout. Once you start using this product, I would highly recommend calibrating the sensor since the sensor is above your foot (and at a slight angle) instead of below your foot (as it usually is). This positioning might make the reader less accurate, but I'm not sure. You should definitely calibrate it either way if you are a hard core runner, since calibrating it will make it calculate your distance correctly based on your stride. See the Nike+ sensor product manual to find out how to calibrate it to fit you.

Comfortable arm band that doesn't slide down. The pocket piece will slide back and forth along the band (if you want it to), so it's fully adjustable. The quality of material is good. I like how the underside of the flap and the top of the pocket are COMPLETELY covered with the hook and loop tape. If you had a taller object inside the pocket, you could close the flap a little higher up and it would still secure.

My iPod nano fits snugly inside (although I can't control the ipod without taking it out), and after my workout I wind my earbud cord into about a 2" circle, open the flap and place the wound up wires on top, then close the flap over it all. The hook and loop tape secures my wound up earbud wires so they don't get tangled.

There isn't anything cheap or flimsy about it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

***Originally I bought this to hold drivers license and one key, but since the nano fit, i've been using that as well. This seems to be the only slim band I could find that was the right size/shape for the drivers license.
