The silicone skin is secure, thick and protective and allows access to all the ports on the iPod Nano®. The tuneband has a comfortable stretchy Velcro® band that fits both large and small arms. Also, the tuneband comes with a low tack peel screen protector. Finally, the tuneband is compatible with the Nike+iPod system, allowing you to attach the Nike+iPod receiver to the iPod.

This armband is really comfortable while you're running. I use it with my Nano and Nike+, and it seems I don't even notice I'm wearing an armband until I play around with my Nano. The only issue is you need to connect the Nike+ receiver after you put the Nano in the silicon sleeve (common sense).

I was using the Tuneband for iPhone 3G, and it's been solid for many years now. This is a great product, very sturdy, been through plenty of wear and tear in the gym. It fits comfortably, easily adjustable, and is the best iPhone armband I've found out there, and believe me, I've been through plenty of them until I finally found this one.

That, and from what I've read, Grantwood is a great company that quickly responds to issues. I highly recommend this product and company!

The armband fits very well when running and is infinitely adjustable so it won't slide off. The band is easy to slide in/out of the sleeve before/after exercising, but be prepared to keep the sleeve on all the time because constantly taking an iPod in and out of the sleeve would be a lot of work. That said, the sleeve fits very well on my 4G iPod and I like that it comes with screen and click-wheel protectors too. The blue is nothing like the picture though, expect a darker teal. This armband definitely suited what I was looking for!

I bought the Nike+ sport kit when I wanted to start running with my iPod nano instead of my iPhone. I had been using RunKeeper to track my walks with my iPhone, so I didn't want to give up the ability to analyze my runs.

The good:
- Periodic updates as to how far I have left and being able to get my stats (current pace, time elapsed, distance left to go)
- The variety of workouts I can set up (choose basic, distance, time, etc.)
- Power Song: This sounds silly, but being able to hold down the center button at any point and immediately hearing what I've chosen as my "power song" at the time I need it can be very motivating

The bad:
- The Nike+ website. It is awful. No, really, it sucks really bad. It's great to be able to upload my run and see how I've done, but there's a graph on there that nobody seems to be able to explain. Coming from RunKeeper, I thought the up and down orange line meant my elevation, but apparently it's tracking my speed. Except some people think it's not, that it just makes an arbitrary up-and-down graph no matter how fast I was going.

You're supposed to be able to choose the number of data points the graph shows, so I thought that meant I'd be able to see how fast I was running at any interval. Apparently not. Who knows what that's designed for, then, since there is no explanation on the website.

The website tells you that you can select Coaching or Training programs, except you can't. That part of the site, according to a Nike+ staff admin, has been down and they don't know when it will be back up. And when it does come back up, all you can do is print out a sheet telling you how to work to your goal. That's right, even though the programs are on the Nike+ site that interfaces with the Nike+ sensor, you can't load it onto your iPod and get any kind of audio support. You just PRINT OUT A SCHEDULE and try to remember what it said on your run.

There's also an option to "Map It," i.e. map your route that you want to run. Except... You guessed it! There aren't any audio cues or any kind of interaction between that and the actual Nike+ sensor. So basically you just draw a map of where you ran, or where you want to run, and you can manually link those routes to your uploaded runs... Except there's really no point since there's no way for the sensor to know if you actually ran that route or not.

Also, I had read that the voice of the trainer you hear while running is also supposed to say stuff like "Good job!" or "You need to run faster to make your goal!" or stuff like that, but so far all she tells me is how far I've gone. But maybe you need to run a marathon to get the voice cues.

Bottom line: Only get this product if you just want to track your time on your runs. Otherwise, like me, you'll be disappointed.

although the calibration seems to be off (and there's no clear way to override the automatic calibration - maybe i need to check the manual again?) at least it is consistent, and the whole darn thing is incredibly fun and easy to use. it's very motivating to be able to track progress online, and to have an easy way to figure out pace, approximate distance, etc. overall, highly recommended. ps - you don't need the nike shoes, just get one of the many pouches available to attach to your laces.

I was excited to get the Nike+ system to track my runs, until I started to realize it meant buying the transmitter for my iPhone 3GS AND a new pair of Nike shoes made for use with the transmitter. The lowest price pair I found was $50+. After some research I came across this pouch from Grantwood Technology for less around $7. Seemed like a no-brainer at the time and has proven to be a great decision!

The pouch works great and I simply attached it to the pair of running shoes I already owned. Whats more, if I want to switch to other shoes or share the one responder with my wife it's easy to switch the pouch.

I am currently serving in Iraq and received the Run Wallet about 4 months ago and was waiting to see how it held up to my "abuse" in this environment before writing a review. I am extremely impressed. I run an average of about 20 miles a week and this wallet has been through the paces with me. The size was perfect as I don't want or need a lot of items while running. It is big enough to hold my ID card visibly (required for where I am at) and my keys with some money. I didn't use it for my iPod as I have a shuffle that I attached to the strap and wound the earbud cord around the flap. It was very comfortable and the material kept my money dry and is very easy to clean. After 4 months the velcro is still going strong and holds my items securely. I have used other armband wallets in the past and have found this one to be above the best. Sometimes I forget that I am even wearing it. I would highly recommend it.

I love the versatility of ways to wear this. It has a lanyard, arm/ankle strap (which is very secure due to the full velcro), it can also be worn on a belt or as a shoe wallet. The arm band even fit around my fat arms, and was very comfortable, so that is a huge +, because I wasn't expecting it to fit. Easily holds 1-2 keys, drivers license, a few bucks and my sansa clip+ mp3 player. Wish it was big enough for a cell phone, but I have a separate clip for that, so no biggie.

It looks really small and I wasn't sure that my license would fit in it at first, but to my surprise it easily did.

I got the RunWallet in May and am very impressed with it's durable construction, versatility and ample storage. The clear window holds my driver license,credit card and zoo membership card. In the inside pocket on one side it easily holds three more credit cards and the other pocket holds cash (it has to be folded in fourths to slide in.) The velcro is very strong and holds it shut very well.
I like all of the carrying options and find it is currently my favorite wallet. I couldn't be happier with the RunWallet.

I'd been shopping for a 2G sports band all over the big box stores (WalMart, Best Buy..etc) with no luck until happened upon this little gem from Grantwood (Amazon). I've put several hundred miles on it running with iPod (w/Nike+) and has proven very comfortable and has stayed secure. My brother bought one also after having tried two other (much more expensive) arm bands which worked poorly. He has double the mileage as me and thanks me for this great find. Overall, great product at a great price!

The Nike + iPod Sport Kit is a really cool concept. I use it, I love it. But let's face it, not everyone wants, or even can use, Nike shoes. One size does not fit all. I've seen numerous different pouches, but this is by far the best solution. It's biggest bonus beyond the low price is the fact that it goes on and off by velcro so you don't have to unlace your shoes every time you want to remove it.
The batteries in those sensors will die faster if you walk around all day with it on. So, have your run, then remove it. This solves several problems I was having. Looks pretty good, too.

I needed a pouch to put my Nike+ sensor in since I don't run with Nike+ shoes, and this was recommended to me by a friend. It's perfect--the sensor fits in snugly and I don't have to worry that it might fall out while I'm running. I read somewhere that someone said there's also room to store the little piece that snaps into your iPod, but I don't see how that's true. I had to work a bit to get the sensor in the pouch, which is how you'd want it to be. If there was room to put anything else in there I'd be afraid the sensor would fall out while running. So a word of advice: Don't try to stuff anything else in this pouch except the sensor or you run the risk of compromising it.

Bottom line: If you're looking for a pouch to put your Nike+ sensor in, grab this one. It's cheap, built well and serves its purpose easily and effectively.

I purchased a Nike+ iPod Sensor Kit, but don't wear Nike shoes. Instead of purchasing a new pair of shoes, I decided to give the Sportsuit Sensor case a try. I'm glad I did.

The sensor case is pretty simple. Elastic material encases and secures the sensor to the moisture resistant neoprene and rubber strap. Once the sensor is inserted, run the strap under the lower shoe laces. Fold the sensor side up and fasten securely with the opposite side of the strap. To remove, undo the Velcro fastener, and pull the strap off the shoe.

If you are looking for an alternative to purchasing a new pair of shoes, this case is an excellent solution.

PROS:

I've been using this with the Nike+ sensor and an iPhone 4 for the last month or so, and have had a very good experience with it. Based on other reviews, I had some concerns about how accurate it would be because of the placement on the foot, but so far it's been fine. I attach it to the cross-foot strap on my Vibram Five Fingers shoes (Sprint) and it stays there very securely (running and walking).

I like to take my dog running but I can't ever seem to find headphones that won't fall out. I find myself constantly adjusting them from discomfort or trying to squeeze them into my ears... so annoying and distracting. These headphones are exactly what I needed. They sit still and don't readjust themselves on me! Can't speak for durability since I've only had them a few weeks. The price tag held me back for awhile... it was just a little higher than what I was willing to pay, but finally I broke down. They were worth the money.

I purchased it over my usual Nike earphones thinking I needed to upgrade since I was running more. What a mistake. First of all they HURT a lot. I tried to convince myself the pain was a good distraction from running, but I eventually tried stretching out the band to try to get it to hurt less but that didn't work either. Then, the kicker was after putting them in my gym bag a few times the rubbery plastic came off one of the ear pieces, which lead to the whole ear piece opening up and exposing the wires. It's a completely useless set now, and of course just past the return date for Amazon and didn't save the manufacturing warranty. Nike might not be great for sound purposes, but they don't hurt, are cheaper, and are sturdier usually lasting up to a year in my experiences.

Good fit and sound. Wife and I use them running (since they don't block the ear canal you can still hear traffic), on the staionary bike and on treadmills/ellipticals. Have had over a year with no problems--recently bought a second set for when we're both working out. highly recommend.

After dealing with earbuds that kept falling out while running, I purchased these headphones. They are great. No bouncing, no falling out, sound is good. I love that they can be rinsed under water. Also, they only have a cord on one side, which is better. Good for the price too!

I bought this armband about three months ago, shortly after I'd started the Couch to 5K running program in an effort to get myself in shape. I was using an alternate product when I first started and was constantly irritated by "feeling" it on my arm. This one was much better. You hardly realize it's there and it's quite comfortable. I graduated the Couch to 5K running program a little over a month ago and have continued running. I'm not sure that I would have finished or continued without this nifty little armband - I'd have used any excuse to quit!

I run half marathons and marathons so training with my Ipod Nano is a NECESSITY!! This tuneband works well because it keeps your Nano dry from all the outside moisture and body sweat. Also the band itself holds well on my arm and doesn't slip like previous armbands that I've owned in the past. I'm only 5'2" and petite so someone taller than me or with a larger bicep might have a problem with the band. Other than that, it's great and I highly recommend it.

I had a 4th Gen 8G nano that broke and I was looking high and low to replace it. All I found was the new 5th gen nano that had video which I didn't want. Great little music player, it holds about 500 photos and can still hold more. I'm so happy to find a replacement that has more memory than my 8g. Thanks Amazon!

My wife has this ipod and she's used it daily for the last year and a half. Everything is still running fine on it however there are 2 items I want to mention.

1. The "lock" switch on top.
The previous generation of ipods was all metal, encased and built tough. This generation and from what I can tell the most recent ones as well have this rounded shape to them and the top lock button is held into place by a little white (or black on the newer model) sticker like cover. The cover popped off the other day and the lock button got lost so now we've lost the "lock" function of this ipod. I think it was a poor design. Apple really should have used a better material then a sticker to hold the button in place.

2. The plugs on the bottom
When my wife has this ipod plugged into her car car radio she really can't charge it as the two ports (headphoen and charging) ports are to close to eachother. If she forces it she can make it work, but a tiny more space would have solved that issue.

Overall it's a good ipod. Yeah it lasted a year and a half, but it could have lasted much longer had apple used a metal top with a screw or some other design rather then a sticker that relies on adhesive to hold it on. We looked at the new generation last night and they also have the same exact design flaw so we aren't sure what exactly we are going to do, it won't be buying the same design style ipod. Perhaps we'll go with the classic or touch.

I never thought I needed an iPod (who actually NEEDS one?), but I saw this one-year-old iPod was on sale for $139, and my daughter convinced me I should buy it. I LOVE IT. I am a senior citizen and I walk over 2 miles every morning. I was borrowing books on CD from my library and using a fanny pack to carry a portable CD player to listen to the books while I walked. My daughter explained that I could download the books onto the iPod and then I would only have to carry the tiny iPod in my pocket instead of the fanny pack. She was right! With 16 gb, I can download a TON of books and music (using iTunes), with plenty of room to spare. Now I borrow the books on CD, download them, and return the CD books to the library quickly so someone else can use them. AND my cute little iPod is pink!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!

I received the iPod sooner than expected, just two or three days after having ordered it, which was surprising, but after I had loaded all of my music from iTunes I disconnected the iPod and it shut off. I continued to charge it for two days, but it just wouldn't hold a charge. I ended up taking it to apple and having the entire unit replaced. It was in otherwise good condition.
