It pushes my head so hard, that I can not use it. I have a physical pain on my ears after wearing it for about an hour. Too much of pressure per area.
I know that it is designed on purpose for sports, not to fall from a head while running. But this is not acceptable, it causes lots of pain!

" Brittle wire covering and awkward fit " (KC Loewen )

I have had these for one year and the rubber wire covering is cracking in 6 places exposing the copper wire. They are still working but probably not much longer. This casing should not deteriorate this quickly. These also fit awkwardly and constantly rotate out from the ear causing the sound to suck.(the in the ear portion is on a swivel from the ear hook) really annoying.

These are a standard headphone in terms of sound quality, about as good as a Sony. After a month or so, the plastics began to disbond and the wires began to break through the plastics around the earpieces. I expected at least average workmanship for the price, but this was poor quality. I would not recommend this to anyone.

i purchased these headphones after doing much research on amazon and thought they were the best ones i could get for working out at the gym. however i find myself HATING them because they hurt my ears. they are so uncomfortable! i thought that if i gave it a couple of days perhaps my ears would get used to them but this was not the case. so, i decided to return them. however, this is not possible since the distributor will not let you return something that has been taken out of the packaging! this is ridiculous. how do you know if you will like a product or not without trying it out?
now i know for next time, i should just go to the store to buy my products rather online from distributors that have ridiculous policies.
besides the discomfort, the sound quality is ok...although alot of ambient noise does get in.
maybe this is a good product for men or girls with big ear holes...all i know is that these ear phones hurt a lot.

These headphones are great if your not going to work out with them. Within 10 minutes my ears hurt. I had read a review that said this but thought it would be different for me, not so. Working out makes them to rub in your ears. They become uncomfortable within minutes. Please don't get them if you plan on working out. Otherwise they are nice.

I had been looking for a means to listen to music during running -up to 1,5 to 2 hours in one go. First got myself an ipod. Problem was that the earbuds included with that ipod purchase fell out after a while and sound quality was not sufficient.

So I started looking for an alternative and considered sport headphones. I also wanted the headphones to be comfortable and also to the extent possible produce a good quality, i.e. better than the standard earbuds. After reading reviews of sport headphones I decided not to by sport headphones like these. Reason is that some people complain about how ears hurt after a while and about poor(er) sound quality.

I bought myself the Sennheiser(s) PX 100. I am really pleased with them. Sound is great -mainly the bass is nice- and they stay on while running and moreover are very comfortable. Pro is also that the sound is ambient so you can still hear sound from outside. Re sweat: yes it goes into the foam of the headphones, but this does not bother, i.e. it does not go into your ears. And after I finish, I take the foam thingies off and I wash with water and that does the job. So, for those who are in doubt about whether to purchase sport headphones, I would say consider also the PX 100 as they serve at least as well and probably also cost less.

I am searching for a durable earphone that I can use while running. I hoped these would be the answer but because they are so incredibly uncomfortable I can't bear to wear them. I am use to in-ear styles earphones but find they slip during running and therefore require a lot of adjustment. The behind the neck styling and snug fit are great but you need to be able to tolerate the pain to wear these. I tried these while running four times for about 45 minutes each time and just couldn't get past the pain they created. I started dreading going for a run while using these so I just stopped listening to music altogether while these were my only sound option for running.
They also don't cancel sound so when running along noisy streets you need to adjust the volume extrememly loud and then on quiet streets you need to adjust the volume again. So ultimately I found myself fiddling with the volume as much as I use to be fiddling with the slipping earbuds so I had traded fiddling with the earpiece for fiddling with the volume control.
They are sturdy and tolerate the sweating but now they just sit on the counter.

I've had Sennheiser before and they are top notch. My last pair lasted 4 years. I hope I get even half of that from this pair. My only issue with the product is that it looks like it's a return, and I wasn't notified I was getting a used product prior to purchase. The way the cord was secured in the packaging was pretty suspicious. The tape inside the plastic bit that held the earphones is really yellowed which looks like it's pretty old and it wasn't securing anything. Next time I buy these, it won't be from Amazon. I've never had any problems with buying here until now. And I've used Amazon for YEARS. I do buy used items, but only books and CD's and I know I'm buying used when I make the purchase. I wish I had bought the service warranty now, but oh well. They sounded great when I used them today so let's hope they hold up. Makes me wonder why they were returned in the first place. What's wrong with them?

At first sight and use these were good but I encountered a couple of issues. I did like them having a long cord. The problems I encountered was the failure of the right ear piece. I think it had something todo with the wring inside the plug. The sound was also an issue at high sound became very tinny, this was only happening on the right side so maybe was due to the right ear failing.

The other issue I had was they caused light popping of my ear drum. I perspire a lot and this caused kind a seal between the headset and my ear canal which caused some discomfort or like a ear drum pop, it was livable but annoyed me.

I always have trouble with the ear-bud style of headphones (they fall out, hurt my ears or sound terrible) so I thought I'd try this wrap around style instead. I was not impressed. The band around the neck and the ear loops are very comfortable. However, the piece that actually goes in the ear seemed very large to me and actually hurt my ears after just a few minutes. Additionally, the cord on the pair I received had a short in it. Sound cut in and out on one side and then just died all together. The other side kept functioning but I'm unable to give a valid sound review since I only heard through both earphones for about 5 seconds. I am returning my pair to the seller and will hopefully get a refund. I have other Sennheiser headphone products that I absolutely love but this one was a mjor dissapointment.

These are by far the most disappointing headphones I've owned. Cheap construction, the buds constantly slip out of the ear,non adjustable, and the neck band shifts and moves the ear buds with any head motion, constantly requiring adjustment.

At the gym, the neck band gets in the way of any machines where you lay down. I have had wrap around headphones before than have stayed in place while using exercise equipment, so this shifting is a design flaw. I wish I kept the receipt. The worst.

Had 2 of the same before, and they lasted decently long. Earpiece fell off on the first and the second shorted, but they got lots of use under sweaty conditions and lasted around 2 years each. Got a third pair after it was redesigned (this one).

= While the first two fit tightly, almost until they hurt my ear by pressing so hard, these were floppy and loose. The EXTRA long cord didn't help, as its flopping around would dislodge the earbuds from my ears. I was constantly pressing them back in to get a fit and hear anything.

= The left bud shorted out after less than a year, which is unacceptable.

I'm going to try a different brand.

After going through four different sets of headphones I've finally found a pair that both fits in my ears and stays in my ears. These have a nice design that applies a little bit of pressure into your ear so that they stay in place while running, and they also have the rubber earbud design (not a big piece of plastic) that fits inside of your ear securely. They come with 3 different sized rubber pieces for your ear, so they should fit most ears, plus the behind-the-neck piece is very flexible and conforms to your neck on its own, so these really should fit just about anybody. Sound quality is good, they have good bass tones and are comparable to bulkier over-the-ear headphones. I would recommend these to anybody who listens to music while running and is fed up with earbuds falling out all the time.

headphones are awesome to workout with, specially with an armband to hook up your ipod or any other mp3 player; the short cord it just fits perfect and if you need a longer cord you just use the extension that comes with it. The sound while its good its not amazing but for thirty something bucks this is a great buy.

Great headphones for running. I run 20-30 miles a week and do not go without these headphones. The best part about these is the light-weight back. That keeps them from bouncing. I discovered these headphones a few years ago at (the now out of business) Circuit City. I bought them on a whim and spent $60. They are great headphones and the sound quality is unmatched. Brilliant mids and highs with deep rich bass. They also fit well. Since that first pair, I bought the next few from Amazon at a significant savings. They last me about 6 months and then need replacing. (I use them all the time for running and sweat a lot) This most recent pair that I bought didn't fit quite right and only lasted a month. I will probably buy another pair regardless because they are just that good and I am assuming that I got the one lemon in the bunch. I still strongly recommend these headphones.

This is a newer model of the PMX80 which has 10 reviews elsewhere on this site. Based on those reviews and reviews of several similarly priced items, all of which were extremely helpful, and the fact that this was a newer model, I selected this item. I am very pleased with it. I have tried several different kinds of headphones during cardio and other workouts all of which were dismal failures. They fell out on their own, or my hands would catch the cord and yank them out, or the seal was so weak that I had to pump the iPod volume up to max to get the music to a level that I could hear during a workout. These headphones suffer none of those problems. They stay in during both cardio and weightlifting workouts. They seal very well and block out other noise decently so that I could have a more appropriate volume.

If you are interested in sport headphones, you may be also interested in exercise clothing that facilitates wearing them and I recommend the Scottevest Tshirts which have a zippered shoulder pocket that held my iPod and enabled me to keep the headphones cord short so that it did not get caught by any arm movements. These two items in combination eliminated a number of workout-related nuisances and boosted my enjoyment considerably.

Much Better Than Satisfactory: I use these headphones to excercise while listening to audio books and news podcasts. They have good sound quality and are comfortable to wear. They seem durable to me and should hold up well under normal use. I like that they fold up an will fit securly in a loose pocket. I do wrestle with the dangling cord and plug and will consider bluetooth headphones in the future to satisfy this issue. Price is very good.

I use these for running. These will collect sweat when running and will need to be tapped out to have the sound come back on. I've taken to wearing the bud in front of my ear, they have not collected the moisture that way. I turn the volume up and I can still hear the traffic when I'm running.

these might not have 4-star sound but overall they do a 4-star job - especially if you are looking for something to use while exercising. I have a pair of Shure and Bose headphones that are absolutely fantastic sound-wise. BUT - neither can be worn while running. I run a few times a week and need tunes to keep me going. i tried the sennheiser sport twist earphones and they were quite uncomfortable... so my search for the perfect running earphones continued. i finally found these, and while the sound doesn't come close to the shures or bose, it is perfectly fine for an hour run. They stay on fine too which is more than i can say for ANY other pair i've tried. If the ear piece that surrounds the "speaker" were a bit softer, these would score a bit higher. I wouldn't call them uncomfortable, but after an hour your ears begins to feel-it. If you are looking for earbuds for anything other than exercise, try shure e3C.

had an old pair of sony in ear, noise-isolating headphones. started going to the gym more, and found that the weight of the cables pulled them out of my ears as i bounced up and down while running. also, the sweat caused the plastic on the buds themselves to get wet and just slip out.

had had enough and read tons of reviews of headphones and these sennheiser's were the only one's that stood out. they have a really snug fit (perfect for me, but maybe too tight if you have a massive head?) and literally do not move at all while running. the sound is incredibly clear, and i was surprised to hear such a full sound.

only issue is using these headphones while lifting weights on benches as the bit that goes behind your neck obviously gets in the way. But I am MORE than willing to put up with this in order to have great headphones to use while running.

Worth every penny and am really happy with them.

I have had these for one year and the rubber wire covering is cracking in 6 places exposing the copper wire. They are still working but probably not much longer. This casing should not deteriorate this quickly. I've tried two other brands (I ultimately returned both) before spending a little more and getting the Sennheiser's (OMX 80). Again, in comparison, the sound was amazing. The cord does tangle a bit, but that seems to be the case with all earbuds. It is kind of a crazy orange hue to the wires, but who cares when you're working out? I've had these for two months roughly and use them about 4-5 times a week working out and working around the house. They've been very good with great sound. Fry's, $60.

These headphones sound good only when you can get them really snugly in your ear canal, and no matter which of the supplied covers (sponge or rubber) I tried, I couldn't get a good fit. On the one or two occasions I could get a tight fit, it was very uncomfortable and the headphone soon popped out of place anyway. I bought these Sennheisers as an upgrade to my Cowon D2 stock earbuds, but after fidgeting endlessly with them, I went back to working out with the Cowons. They're not perfect, but at least with them, I actually can hear a full frequency range and they aren't painful to wear.

I bought these so I could have a set of earphones that sounded good and were comfortable enough to wear for a straight hour while I'm at the gym, nothing more, nothing less.
When I first received them I was pretty excited.
So I hooked them up to my MP3 player and started to check them out.
If you get them in your ear just right they sound great, a little much on the bass though.
On electronic based music (rap, techno, R&B, etc.) the bass is great, on instrument based music (rock, classical, etc) the bass is a little much.
If you have a good player, you can adjust the bass but not all players allow that.
My biggest gripe with these headphones is the cord splits and gives like 8 inches to go to your left ear and then like 16 inches to go to your right ear.
I don't like the offset design but I understand that some do.
Even so, what's with this huge difference in length?
Unless your head is like 2 feet wide, the cable going over to your right ear will be dangling all limp and goofy looking.
Also, the length to the end where the mini plug is is really too short for anyone my height.
I'm 6'2" and I can't keep my MP3 player in my pocket because THE CORD IS TOO SHORT.
So I have to place it in my waist band while I'm working out, which I guess works but is not ideal.
I just gave them to my wife and she likes to use them with her laptop.
Works great for her, sucks for me.
Bottom line, THEY SOUND GREAT BUT IF YOU ARE 6 FOOT OR TALLER DO NOT BUY THESE.

I bought these headphones because one of my iphone's earbuds stopped working. When I tried them at first I was impressed. The sound was much better than my Iphone's earphones. I have been them using them for one month. I'm not impressed with the cord - it's really cheap. Last night I listened to the same music on my Harman Kardon 730 Twin Powered with the Large Advents - this is vintage home stereo system from the 70s. I was overwhelmed at how much I'm missing with these headphones! In fact, I came to the comclusion that the only reason these sound "good" is because they fit in your ear canal, effectively transferring sound into your hear, as opposed to my old headphones. I'm going to listen to these less and listen to my vintage system more. Therefore, I think that the sound is "marginal."
The bottom line is this: I was listening to $2 headphones that came with my phone (probably actual price to manufacture), and now I listen to $4 headphones (probably actual price to manufacture).... both are mediocre quality.

The only earphones that I've ever owned that were worst than these were the ones that came with my iPod.

I had been using some Klipsch Image S2s with my iPod and had been delighted with them. One of the earplugs developed a short, rendering them useless. I bought these Sennheisers because I had had great success with Sennheiser products in the past and thought that these would make good back up earphones if they proved to be unsuccessful as primary ones.

I was shocked and horrified at how awful these were! The sound was muddy and hollow, weak both in the bass range and treble. I will not even use these for back ups.

I know that these are cheap, but these would be a terrible purchase even at a third of the price. If you don't care about sound quality, you won't mind these. If you do care about good sound quality and want something a lot better than what you get with your iPod (these are at least a very tiny step up from those miserable things), don't get these. Just about anything will be better than these. After listening to these for less than five minutes, I ordered a new pair of Klipsch Image S2s.

I probably regret this purchase more than any piece of audio equipment that I've made in my life.

It is the first time I spend time on writing a review~my motivation came from this good item~I used several different headphone before, SONY, Shure, and Ultimate Ear. All of them are more expensive then this one, but the quality~I mean the pleasure I get from its sound, is much bigger than the earphones which are 3 times as expensive as it. I love it! If you can find a deal whose price is around 20, then go for it! It worth the money for sure. Another thing you need to be careful, the size of the ear plug~if you use the in-appropriate one, the sound effect will be weaken by it~so make sure you select the correct size earplug. there are three different sizes of ear plugs go together with the ear phone~so must be one suitable for you~
A truly good product~!

I use this armband for running, skating and biking in conjunction with the iPhone RunKeeper application. All works as expected and relatively without a hitch. It protects the iPhone well, even in the rain, and stays on the arm. However, someone with a lesser bicep can have trouble keeping it between the shoulder and the bicep. Putting it on is a bit of hassle. The strap comes off and you have to loop it in every time you put it on, and do so with only one hand. Also, the headphone wire holder onto which you wind up the wire is of poor design as it doesn't hold much wire and easily comes off the armband. I'm always afraid to lose it. I can see how taking off the wire holder can benefit people who do not listen to music while exercising, but the wire holder isn't in the way and is pretty weightless. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, but I wish I had gotten a bit more for the buck. A connected, easily tightened band, a better wire holder, and maybe a little pocket for a credit card, ID, keys would be nice.

I don't have any major complaints here. I'm 5'7" female 135 lbs and the armband fits me just fine with a little extra armband to spare. I do work out regularly so my arm does have a little muscle so I can see why other females might have a problem. I do have to take my phone out of its case every time I want to use this armband but I don't mind that too much. The phone fits snugly. The screen is a little less sensitive but still works fine which makes sense because of the thicker cover in the front but I'm glad because the more protection the better. The side volume buttons are inaccessible but who needs to constantly change the volume while they've already started exercising anyway? I just set it before I go. It also comes with a little clip on the side so you can wrap excess headphone wiring around it and works great! I hate having wire dangle down near my waist. The clip is also removable if you don't need it. Overall I think this armband is a great buy, I like the sturdiness and style.

I use this armband for running with the RunKeeper program on my iPhone. The armband itself fits comfortably and feels secure (doesn't work loose). You can see and use the iPhone screen through the "window" on the armband, although it is slightly more difficult with the plastic cover, as one would expect. I use the apple headphones with the Remote and Mic, so adjusting volume, changing songs, etc is easy to do while running.

I needed an armband so I could run on my treadmill with my IPod. I also have the Nike + IPod attachment that goes at the bottom of the IPod. With the attachment, it does not fit into the armband, and therefore, not usable. I was disappointed that that is not explained in the description.
