This thing is a rip. No bigger than a jelly jar. I order alot fo stuff off Amazon... this si the only thing I ever got ripped on. I do not recommend this. The bags are useless.. and they want more money to buy more of them..lol. I wanted this for dumping grease as I have well and septic. I bought the green kitchen design compost bucket instead. Much larger and has a handle to go dump it.

I am so happy I found this fat-trapper! What a handy little item. The trapper holds so much and the refills are pretty cheap. It actually looks nice on top of my stove (I got the black version) and it is sturdy enough to pour into without holding. I recommend this item.

From the other reviews I was expecting something large enough to pour my hamburger meat into and let the grease drain out of it. But this is NOT large enough for that. The actual container is fine, but the strainer on the top is too small. In order to drain the grease you would need to keep the meat in the pan and pour out the grease that way.

I bought this with a deep fryer, thinking I would be able to reuse the oil by saving it in this container. Little did I know that I can re use most of the oil from my fryer, so this unit became the oil strainer before I put it back into the jug the oil came in. It is not big enough to save oil from a fryer. It is more than big enough to save bacon fat in though! Actually too big for that use, but considering it now does double duty in my kitchen, I'd buy this large one again. The strainer is fine enough to catch most small particles in the oil, yet still allow the oil to flow through. This is a good addition to our kitchen tools.

I use it to filter oil in 4 cup increments from my wok to my thermos for storage. It fits perfectly into my thermos with no shifting during the pour. The filter catches all the detritus from the used oil. Since it is easily removable and both parts are stainless steel, clean up is a snap. I bought this years ago (about 5!) and it's been nothing but great to own. 2 sizes of funnels means it's perfect for loading spices from a huge container to a small vessel. The large one is great for funneling olive oil from a huge container to a narrow vessel. And we finally found a good use for the strainer: pouring used oil into a container to reuse, it successfully gets all the bits out. Great buy!

This is a good funnel SET, because both funnels are attached, so there is no way to lose any. Also, the strainer come in handy for straining unwanted solids out of liquids. However, these funnels are SO big! Unless you want, or need, to pour a great deal of liquid at once, I'd suggest getting a smaller, stainless-steel funnel set. Or, get this one JUST for the third-piece strainer, (that I've seen no-where else, although I'm positive other strainers must have them). These strainers take up extra room in your kitchen storage, that may not be necessary to use.

I ordered these funnels through the OXO company store and upon further inspection they appeared to be defective, with some excess of the black silicone rubber curled up inside the funnel as well as a gap in the epoxy glue which visually appears as if dust embedded on the inside of the funnel. As well, the small openings on the funnels make them very limited in use for certain tasks, such as pickling if not trying to safely transfer peppercorns into a pepper grinder.

It is understandable why people like these funnels so much, though I returned mine and will likely purchase the KitchenAid set with the wide-mouth and flexible silicon openings because they better suit my needs. Though I do question the quality control of this OXO product, as looking at others in a retail store also indicated traces of excess silicone on the inside of the funnels, as if rough or unfinished, creating a potential problem for spices, say, sticking to the inside of the funnel.

This little gadget works great for cutting potatoes for french fries. If you have spare potatoes that may be too soft, old, etc to bake with, make french fries with them. This cuts back on the time of cutting drastically. I don't worry about peeling the potatoes, I like the skin on them. Some large potatoes may not fit into the cutter whole, but just cut them lengthwise if possible or in half if necessary. The handle is not hard to press down, my kids have used it. The whole unit can be thrown in the dishwasher. The blades/plates come out easily for washing. No complaints whatsoever. My husband loves this thing.

This was a great product for $11 with shipping. I have saw other products that were compareable but the other products cost more. This product made cutting potatoes easy. Im a small frame woman and I push the bar with ease. Its best to use the small baking potatoes. If the potatoe is to large you have to the cut it in half, before placing in machine. Overall this product works great for its purpose (a family of 6 who each french fry's atleast once a week).

When I picked this up from the store I was very excited. I like to make sweet potato fries and figured this would save me time and possible injury as sweet potatoes can be fairly tough to cut.

Almost every potato needs to be cut in half and trimmed, may as well cut them up the rest of the way yourself. The entire thing twists under pressure, and it takes a bit to make it work. Actually leaning on the handle with your chest is the easiest way to operate this. The real kicker here is that all the blades on the large slicer broke out on the first potato I ran through them. I had to spend a few minutes with a pair of pliers to get them out of my potato. The small slicer seemed to work just fine, but after the previous blade falling apart, I cut everything up nice and small, which is kind of defeating the purpose of this product.

I would strongly suggest spending a little bit more money and getting a higher quality and larger potato slicer, or possible a nice mandolin slicer that does more than potatoes.

This is a series of 4 romances, heavy on the sex, with a few social issues thrown in. It follows a group of 4 brothers and the meetings and beginning relationships with their future spouses. It's also about the brothers' wonderful parents who take all these "parentless" girls into their family circle. I do give the series 4 stars so forgive me my sarcasm, but I rate each book/series on what it, to me, should be taken as. These are books you read for a little "aww..." and to get a little steamed up. If you want to try a deeper Lauren Dane, check out "Laid Bare", a romance which will make you cry (warning: it involves LOTS of steamy sex involving S&M and 2 men/1 woman so if that's not your thing, stick with this series).
#1: Chased. Characters Maggie and Kyle. She's insecure b/c of her bitchy mother and pretty sister. He's sweet, Southern and a little dopey acting. Social issue: She gets stalked and later kidnapped for a short while (sounds more interesting that it is). But the romance and sex are good.
#2: Taking Chase. Characters Cassie and Shane. She's insecure (even though she's a stunning, rich doctor with a sexy voice) b/c her ex-husband who used to beat and rape her, then tried to kill her. He's the jerk that dated and dumped Maggie in book 1 before Kyle swooped in, but in this book is sweet, Southern and a little dopey acting. Social issue: Spousal abuse. I know this book is supposed to raise the issue this can happen to anyone. But to this character, as she's written, and to the degree it's talked about having gotten to before someone made her get help when she went to work everyday as a successful surgeon--it was unbelievable (and kind of sickening).
#3: Giving Chase. Characters are Liv and Mark. Liv is the best friend of Maggie and the hoochy from book 1 that chased Matt (the brother in book 4). She pretends to be insecure (but it sure doesn't show much) b/c her mother died when she was younger. Anyhow, she quickly ends up hooking up with the youngest brother, Kyle. Kyle is kind of a pompous jock at times, but also ends up being sweet, Southern and a little dopey acting. Social issue: ??? Slutty girls who lost their mothers need love too ???
#4: Making Chase. Characters are Tate (awful name) and Matt. Tate is insecure b/c she was abused by her father, is illegitimate, poor and chubby (but hey, she can really cook, dance and cut hair). Matt is the best looking brother, as well as the sweetest, most Southern and the most dopey acting. Social issue: Child abuse can really eff a person up (well duh). Once again, sorry for the sarcasm. It seems inherent at this point as this was actually my favorite book in the series.

I loved the whole series, but this is my least favorite of the 4 books. This is the 2nd in the series and I have to say that if Shane weren't so mean to Maggie in the first book I might have enjoyed this. It seemed like he went out of his way to be nasty to her, so I found it hard to "connect" with him and could have cared less if he found love or not. I didn't feel like he earned it, let alone deserved anyone's love after what he did to Maggie. Thank goodness he had three other brothers!

Sorry to everyone who has reviewed Lauren Dane's books as 4 or 5 star but really I just can't see it. I would have thought authors such as Sherrilyn Kenyon, JR Ward, Kresley Cole etc deserve 4 or 5 stars but not these books. Lauren Dane has the makings of a great book but gets lost halfway there and ruins the story by her lead male and female characters. She did this in her first book and has done it again here.

There are some great comments, some good scenes and funny moments I won't repeat the storyline because alot of people have already detailed what the book is about.

I'll just let you know the reason this book isn't on my to buy or read list (too late for me but maybe I can save someone else the money!) is that her female lead characters are always beautiful but think they're ugly (apparently drop dead gorgeous model women). They have stalkers after them and think they can handle it on their own. Exactly the same type of woman in each book.

The men are the 4 Chase brothers who are big, tall, handsome etc etc we all know the sexy type! BUT and this is a big BUT it totally ruins the image of these alpha men when they sit there talking about how beautiful their woman is and how much they love her and how much they didn't mean to upset her for a couple of chapters of the book to OTHER MEN! God, they come across whining and looking like a soft little boy, the only thing missing was a box of tissues and violins. Aren't they hard, strong men who of course can love their women but don't cry to their mums, dads or brothers about it?

Also, in light of this they have a close family which I love in this book. They still call their mum Momma which is cute BUT, and yes there is another BUT they also call their Dad...wait for it...DADDY!! COME ON! They are 4 grown adult men..I don't even call my dad daddy anymore unless I'm feeling very emotional...BIG TURN OFF!

Last BUT before the spoiler! The dialogue is hard to follow sometimes. It doesn't flow. The characters speak as if reading their lines. It sounds weird I know but they say things that are stilted and formal...It doesn't read as modern everyday speech but more archaic and formal. A few times I stopped reading the conversation and said to myself - who in the world talks like that?!

***SLIGHT SPOILERS**** I can forgive these things but the one thing that turned me off the book is that the male hero Shane was cheated on by his fiancee years ago. His love interest Cassie has been emotionally and sexually abused. We go through her pain and emotional baggage. She has panic attacks, hides herself from Shane, goes crazy when he touches her in a way that reminds her of her ex etc etc. We deal with it and understand her past has hurt her so she lashes out. Shane of course begs her forgiveness for doing these things unwittingly, but when he sees her embracing another man and accuses her of cheating (in a very mild manner may i say) she goes nuts tells him to go away and doesnt speak to him for over a week!!!!!! By the way the man was her brother. Of Course Shane again begs her forgiveness, calls her every day, gives her flowers blames it all on himself. His own family side with her and tell him off. I mean come on, this woman has given him heaps, she's yelled at him, pushed him away and blamed it all on her past. He also had a hard past and thought for one second she cheated on him and apologised immediately, yet it's not okay for this simple man to make a mistake.

She didn't even aplogise to him for over reacting. He still came and begged her forgiveness and she accepted reluctantly after the whole town harped on her about giving him a second go and the apology was accepted with some more b$#$thing and whining from her! I really wished at this point that Shane realised what a shrew she was and found someone else worthy of him! that's how annoying it got!

Besides these fundamental flaws for me the book could be considered an okay read. it's definitely not in my top 50 books but if you're bored one day and would like a series to read, then give the Chases a go.

Loved the first book, Giving Chase, but I don't know if it's just the Kindle version or the print version, but there seems to be quite a few grammatical and spelling errors throughout the book. I enjoy the stories and will most likely read the entire series since I have them downloaded on my Kindle.

These tongs seem to have the locking mechanism backwards. Most tongs you push in to unlock, these you pull out. I've messed up every time I've used them. Nevertheless, they work as described. These are nylon tongs not silicone so you can't use over high heat or the grill. The edges will melt a little. They're the perfect length, easy to get spaghetti out of the pot, scramble eggs, flip vegetables, etc. I would recommend.
