I have all three sizes and find them indespensible in my RV kitchen.

I use this size under my electric hotplate. It fits perfectly on my stove cover and protects the corian surface from heat buildup. It does not slide on the stove cover surface. The shiny textured surface is easy to clean while not allowing the electric hotplate to slide around.

I have ordered from this seller several times and received my orders promptly and intact. Very happy with the product and service.

The counter mat was damaged when I received it, the vendor shipped me another one, and it was more damaged than the first one. They were both probably damaged in shipping by the appearances of the boxes. I decided not to try for a third one, and the vendor gave me a full credit.

Well built and solid construction. Product works well with both high and low heat. One issue I have is that this item description led me to believe it was commercial item but it is not. However, I am very happy with the quality and it is vastly superior to the Rival version I purchased a year ago.

I've had the waring for two months and have been using it as my main range. I cook anything from omelets, to tofu stir frys, and I generally use this item two times a day. Ordinarily I wait a bit longer to review, but in three days this thing has done things that my last five portable stoves were never able to do. I live in an apartment without a real stove, and have spent the last five years trying to find something that works. Finally something with the power of a real stove! No more do I have to wait 45 minutes for water to boil! No more do I have to cook all my food on High!

This is a REAL stove. Per the instructions, I do let it preheat until the ready light comes on; last night, I put a pan on the preheated stove and the pan was sizzling hot in less than a minute. Boils a full pot of water in five minutes (but again, I preheat it and put the pan on once 'Ready' lights up.

Also, I love that there is an 'ON' indicator light for each burner (my old stove only had an indicator light to indicate that it was plugged in, which is pretty ridiculous and caused my fiance to leave the stove on on high several times...).

The Waring Pro is also very visually appealing and has a substantial, solidly constructed feel.

Being retired and on Jenny Craig's diet, I no longer need a 4 burner stove.
I removed it, built a cabinet and now use this 2 burner unit for soups,pancakes and eggs and such.
The unit is totally satisfactory, in fact the larger burner approximates the heating time of the propane stove removed. I own a microwave size oven for occasional use so I only stored pots and pans in the stove's oven.
My needs are totally satisfied with this product.

Recently moved into an apartment with no stove, which was nearly a deal-breaker because I love to cook. I grudgingly agreed to take the place if the rental company agreed to provide a hot-plate of my choosing. And what a GREAT choice I made in the Waring Pro Portable Burner!

It's compact, well-designed, and cranks out plenty of heat. I first tested it by cranking the large burner all the way to 5 (its top setting) to see how quickly it would heat up. I was frustrated at first that it was taking so long to get a green "ready" light, so I decided to see at what point it would fry an egg. The butter melted instantly as it hit the pan, started sizzling, and I fried that egg when the Burner had only reached 2!

The solid burners crank out steady, even heat, and make cleanup a breeze, as does the stainless steel body.

Hey, it's not a gas range. It takes a bit longer to heat up and cool down. But for the money and convenience, this humble burner is HOT! I highly recommend this product.

There is a reason this style of protector has been around for ages.This is an easy, inexpensive way to protect cast iron when using an electric stove or hot plate. It does not allow the pan to come into contact with the heating element so the seasoning is not ruined. Also works for Pyrex coffee pots and any other types of pot or pan that should not be in direct contact with the heating element. I prefer this over the newer diffusers that seem to limit the heat from the burner to pan. This allows the cooking vessel to heat well while still being protected from direct contact.

I quickly realized all toaster ovens are not created equal. I had bought a cheaper toaster oven and quickly returned it after only 2 weeks. It wouldn't toast and could not seem to manage to cook a pizza with any sort of even heating. I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money on this more expensive Cuisinart model but after reading the positive reviews I decided to go ahead and buy it and I'm glad I did. I live alone and use my toaster oven every day for cooking or for toasting. Also, it fits a 12" pizza which is key for me. I haven't used the convection oven feature too often but have been experimenting by using it and have been really happy with the convection oven feature.

I highly recommend this product. Cuisinart is a name you can trust.

I ordered this toaster/convection/broiler oven about a month ago and have used all of the features with success. Today I used the convection feature to cook a partially thawed chicken breast. I did have to guess at the time and also use an instant-read thermometer. The end result was a delicious moist breast. i use the toast feature most every morning with various types of bread. I have not yet perfected the timing for these breads but feel that it will come with practice. So far, I have been very happy with this oven and since I mostly cook for only one, it is very useful indeed. It would be very helpful if the manual had more of a variety of recipes or if Cuisinart would provide a separate cookbook for this oven.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who routinely cooks for only one or two persons.

I have always used a toaster oven but largely for the toaster/browning properties.....no more. This baby is also a great convection oven. It toasts wonderfully, perfectly evenly and the bottom of the piece of toast which in a regular toaster oven can be almost half untoasted comes out more than satisfactorily toasted. I have not tried the broiler with the exception of making garlic bread. I wasn't entirely happy with the end result as the bread ended up striped like the elements. I think it's because you just can't get it far enough away. It functioned correctly just not what I wanted. The oven has been wonderful. My full size electric oven has a hidden element and takes roughtly 15 minutes to heat up. This oven heats up to 450 in 3 minutes. Yes, I timed it. I have had no issues using the convection feature, they suggest you use cookware with the lowest sides you can to assist the airflow. You have to adjust the cooking time and that's a bit hit or miss until you get the hang of using a quicker cooking convection oven. A 12 inch pizza whose directions say cook for 14 - 16 minutes is done in 9. A fruit cobbler that was supposed to take 45-50 minutes took 30. The convection fan obviously makes some noise but is in no way obtrusive.

The size of the oven is very nice, I do not have a lot of counter space and it fits well, the crumb tray is removed from the back but that is necessary to keep the size of the machine down as the controls are in the front where the crumb tray generally is. It's not a hassle and worth turning the machine around to remove it to keep the profile of the oven smaller. A light inside would be nice as we are all used to lights in regular ovens but I do not know of a toaster oven with a light in it. Once again a light would probably change the size of the machine.

The sides and top of the machine do get hot, it's an oven afterall but I have had no issues with it. The handle does not get hot and once again have had no instances of my hand even getting warm let alone burned as some have commented.

The oven beeps several times when it reaches temperature and if you set the cooking timer it will go off and continue to beep until you turn it off. Very nice should you walk away from the kitchen for a time. No chance of loosing track and over cooking.

The rack, bake pans and crumb tray all clean up perfectly, even baked on food comes off easily. I do not plan to use the broiler for any foods that might spit so I can not comment on how easy it may or may not be to clean after that. I can not imagine that is an easy feat with any toaster/oven type machine.

This toaster oven is very good for a single person or even a couple. Obviously you can't put a 9x13 lasagna pan in but if you rework your lasagna into a 9x9 pan you're good to go.

This has become my primary oven, I only use full size oven for items that won't fit in the Cuisinart. Because of the quicker heating/cooking time etc. I actually expect to see a slightly smaller electricity bill. Well worth the investment. I love it.

In years of cooking, this is my first toaster oven. I was attracted by the prospect of quick heating. After reading reviews, I bought what I thought was the best at any price. The product is workable, but hardly an excellent tool.

First, the instruction manual is brief and terrible. There are big warnings about not using the racks appropriately -- but NOWHERE does it show ANY basic configuration for these racks. I had to guess that to make a cheese sandwich, I was supposed to use three racks. And that no, the bottom rack did not rest directly on the heating elements. Am I right? Who knows?

My first dish: toast. How hard can this be? There's a button labeled "toast". I notice the top elements are on full, and the bottom ones are part on. Wait, isn't that backward? Sure enough, the top is done, the bottom is raw. I try two pieces of toast. They are much more done toward the middle of the oven. The bottom is done, but with wide white "grill marks".

I had to buy non-stick items separately. They haven't arrived. In the meantime, eager to try my purchase, I used the supplied broiling pan. It warped in the first hour. It did go back to shape on cooling, but...I don't want some of my food 1/3rd of an inch higher than the rest while it's cooking.

Overall? Ridiculously poor user experience. Provide a CD with videos that explain how to use your quirky machine. And ... learn how to make toast.

I just came back to modify my review to the worst rating. Why? I came across the registration card. Over a dozen personal questions about my gender, income, what I'm planning to buy this year, etc. Not one, not one, ASKING IF I LIKED THE PRODUCT. And, of course, completely in line with the rest of my experience, postage isn't prepaid. (What would it cost you, Cuisinart?)

Another reviewer wrote: "Good brand, poor product". I don't think so. I'm avoiding buying any Cuisinart product, now. A thought occurs to me...now I check. Yep. User manual, printed in China. Product? Made in China.

I was in the market for a new toaster oven and did quite a bit of research to find a good one. It took me 6 months & 3 toasters. I wanted an oven that could make a pizza (my regular oven takes 20 min just to heat up) as well as toast a bagel and make 2 grill cheese sandwiches at once as I have 3 young children. I also wanted an oven that automatically pulls out the tray as you open the door. This is important to me for safety reasons. I don't wants my kids to stick their hands all the way inside the oven to get their toast out.

Toaster #1) I received a black & decker as a gift and it was awful. It didn't have the pull out tray; It didn't toast bread evenly on both sides; It wasn't large enough to bake a pizza; My bagels were burnt on the outside and cold on the inside; I threw that one away.

Toaster #2) Then I purhased the very popular Cuisineart from amazon. All three of my kids and my husband got burned while opening the door. It gets very hot! It didn't have the auto tray pull out, so I had to get a pot holder to pull the tray out; It didn't bake the pizza well because it wasn't powerful enough, even though it fit the pizza; And worst of all, every time I needed to clean the crumb tray, I had to turn the whole toaster around because the crumb tray pulls out from the back. I wrapped this up and returned it. amazon paid for all shippng charges and it was truly a no hassle return.

Toaster #3) Then I got the breville. I love it! My husband loves it! My kids love it! It does it all. The tray automatically pulls out when the door opens so my kids don't get burned when they want to get their toast out; It toasts bagels beautifully; It heats up quickly and bakes pizza nicely; The crumb tray pulls out from the front so it's very easy to clean (this is BIG!); It's a little more money that the cuisineart, but well worth it. This is the first review I've ever written. I'm hoping that my 6 months of agony will save someone else all the hassles I went through. Good luck!

I just bought my first pair of good cooking tongs EVER. I can't believe I did without a pair of these for so long. For years, I had been occasionally using (I'm actually embarrassed to say) a little 5" long plastic Tupperware freebee pair of tongs. I really only used them to lift hot dogs out of a saucepan of water. (We don't eat hot dogs any longer! Healthy eating progressed, also.) Those worked horribly, being flexible plastic and crappy; normally the hot dogs would just slip right out of them and splash back into the water. Frustrating. Well, since I had that previous experience, I can REALLY appreciate these Oxo Tongs. They are really great. I mostly use them now for turning boneless, skinless chicken thighs over in the skillet. They are really hard to turn over without tongs, and usually want to just flip back before you get them turned all the way over, but with these tongs, it's a snap to turn them right over, and fast. Since other people have mentioned the nylon tips melting, I'm really careful to try to not let them touch the cooking surface of the pan, or for very long if they do. I also don't cook on really high heat; I use stainless steel cookware, and my cooking is all done below the medium mark. I certainly wouldn't try using these to turn or lift anything out of a hot dish from the oven. I really appreciate that these lock in the closed position so you can store them in the drawer with as little space taken up as possible.

These are everything you want from Nylon tongs. People complain about them melting on high heat or on certain types of cookware. I don't know about everyone, but the whole point of buying Nylon Tongs is to not scratch non-stick cookware. Hence you should only use it with non-stick cookware - where these work wonderfully. Why would you use this on cast iron?! Don't do that! You will ruin the nylon edges of the tongs. Just common sense if you ask me. My only complaint is that the inside of the arms might be hard to clean cause its essentially a U shaped gutter. Food can sometimes get stuck on the inside and cleaning it might take some extra effort. Other than that its perfect.

These are great for the kitchen and the nylon heads are very safe when using teflon-coated pans. The locking feature is very easy to use and the length is perfect for turning foods on the stove or in the oven. Using a fork pierces the food and allows the juices to run out, while the tongs preserve the food flavor. I use these almost every day and they've held up very well and clean-up is a breeze. A great Oxo product!

Well named, the best attribute of the Oxo Good Grips Vegetable brush is its rubber grip, which is oval shaped with a rounded top, and fits near perfectly in the palm of your hand, allowing you to get a rock solid grip, and effectively apply cleaning force. The bristles are short, (0.6 inches), and of moderate stiffness, so when you scrub, there is some give, but not a lot, and with a palm sized brush, you know exactly where the bristles are. The rubber grip remains easy to hold, even when wet. The brush is a little pricey, but it is very well designed, and feels great in your hand. It does a very good job of cleaning vegetables, and at other general cleaning tasks.

Unless the product has been redesigned, the brush pictured does not appear to be current version of the Good Grips Vegetable brush. The brush in the photo looks more circular rather than oval, and rather than having ridges that circle around the edges, the sides of the Good Grips brush are smooth.

Nice little kitchen brush, about the size of half an apple, but slightly slimmer/oval. Nice feel to it. Bristles are just right soft/stiff, "tighter" than above image shows (not a good depiction of it...not round). Great simplistic design, quality, looks great by the kitchen sink :)

I have yet to use it much because it arrived one week ago though was immediately impressed by the ergonomic form as well as the solid construction of this vegetable brush. It is easy to clean, has lots of bristles, can be used both wet and dry, and allows a secure and comfortable hand grip when in use. It is given 4 stars initially because it will be interesting to see how it wears and how long it lasts, though every indication is that it should work for several years. Highly recommended and purchased on the basis of others' recommendations. It really is a great little brush.

It stores nicely on its back, too, though rolls around a bit when opening/closing the storage drawer. A recommended fix for a future version would be to modify the form to gain stability when not in use, so as to stay put and not to rock back and forth when on its back. That said, this minor fix would not be worth negatively effecting the comfortable hand-hold in the present version.

This is yet another great Oxo product - I haven't met an oxo gadget I didn't like... so far! This scrubber is easy to hold and makes quick work of cleaning potatoes. It definitely takes the dirt off quickly and easily. Highly recommend.

sharpener works well and looks as advertised. No surprises when I poened the box. Travels extremely well due to size, which is main reason for purchase. However, small size makes it a challlenge to hold. The "gripper" feet on the bas could have been thicker. Overall, worth the $12 cost.

I sharpened about 5 knives before the ceramic cracked or wore away. Also, it is hard to hold, if the knife grabs it will pull the sharpener over, possibly cutting you. I bought another brand with reversible and replaceable sharpening blades, it's great sharpening and will last forever.

This is a decent and compact sharpener. I agree with other reviewers on the fact that it will not produce a 'chef's edge', but I still would recommend it to any camper, hiker, backpacker or hunter.

I bought this Wusthof 2-Stage pocket sharpener to put a quick edge on my pocket knife, kitchen knives and any knife I may use while outdoors. I also own a full set of Wusthof kitchen knives. I really like the fact this sharpener has a ceramic sharpener to maintain a really nice edge on the blade. I found that if you maintain your knife and don't allow the edge to be badly worn down, its easy to restore the high quality edge using a ceramic sharpener.
This little sharpener is well made, easy to carry or pack and functions like a champ.

5stars - "Fast, Convienant & Easy" (Big-D)

I bought this along with the Smith Pocket Pal (PP1). This one is easier to hold steady, and since the guides come up higher, was easier to hold the knife to 90 degrees. It does a great job of sharpening in a very short time. Not as compact as the Smith Pocket Pal, but easily fits in your pocket. If you need to sharpen serrated edges, the Smith version has a rod to do this with. Otherwise, this one is best for straight edges.
