I have all three sizes and find them indespensible in my RV kitchen.

I use this size under my electric hotplate. It fits perfectly on my stove cover and protects the corian surface from heat buildup. It does not slide on the stove cover surface. The shiny textured surface is easy to clean while not allowing the electric hotplate to slide around.

I have ordered from this seller several times and received my orders promptly and intact. Very happy with the product and service.

The counter mat was damaged when I received it, the vendor shipped me another one, and it was more damaged than the first one. They were both probably damaged in shipping by the appearances of the boxes. I decided not to try for a third one, and the vendor gave me a full credit.

Waring Pro DB60 portable double burner problem. One of the four legs on the burner was not level. There was not a way to adjusted the leg that was too short so I had to send it back to Amazon. Amazon quickly issued a credit for the defective item. (It was easy to return too.) Other than one leg being too short the item looked well made but I was never able to use it. So I'll have to rate it once Amazon gets it in stock. Amazon should get 5 stars because of the convenience for returns.

There is a reason this style of protector has been around for ages.This is an easy, inexpensive way to protect cast iron when using an electric stove or hot plate. It does not allow the pan to come into contact with the heating element so the seasoning is not ruined. Also works for Pyrex coffee pots and any other types of pot or pan that should not be in direct contact with the heating element. I prefer this over the newer diffusers that seem to limit the heat from the burner to pan. This allows the cooking vessel to heat well while still being protected from direct contact.

According to the description this is supposed to be a 10x7 inch set of pans, which it isn't. Interior is 6x8 and with the edge is only 6 1/2 x 9. Either Amazon has messed up or Nordicware has misrepresented the size.

Ok I am a cook but at home I use this skillet at least 3 or 4 times a week. I have been looking at the reviews here because I am getting one for my mother for her apartment and just wanted to inform people on the bad reviews. First I want to say never use metal on non stick cookware. Use a silicone spatula and tongs the are both reasonable and useful. Second make sure to season any pan or skillet before use, for those that don't know what seasoning means just use cooking oil or pam if you prefer. Coat the cooking surface well and just warm the skillet for a few minutes. AS for clean up just wipe clean do not soak if you have to make sure to re season. Third if you are worried about it sliding around I bought a rubber non slip mat when I bought mine and haven't had a problem. I bought the mat just to keep grease off my counter top and just need to wash it off with hot water now and then. I really like mine as it doesn't heat the house when I cook. If you live in a apartment I highly suggest this skillet and a good convection oven. Oh I also saw a few people say they had a problem with some screws coming loose while I have not had this problem. Go to the hardware store and ask for some heat resistant lock tight. Hope this help you make the right choice!

When I first started to look for an electric skillet I checked with America's Test Kitchen & read many of the customer reviews at Amazon. The "Big" Presto seemed to be the best & so I took a chance. We're very happy with the way it cooks very evenly across it's entire surface & the way it maintains it's cooking temperature. We are very pleasantly surprised by how well it cooks. The only thing we're not crazy about, is because of it's size & shape; it's difficult to empty the used cooking oil. Not sure how they could improve that. Perhaps the kind of "lip" you find on a coffee machine carafe. That would make it perfect.

I have to tell you its a marvelous Skillet, so easy to cook in, i can make so much in it,i AM disabled and able to make enough to freeze for when I am not capable of cooking.
cleaning is a breeze, actually can just wipe.. just season w/ a little oil, helps it from sticking/ its bigger than I thought, a lot bigger than my old old one...lol, if you want to make one big dinner,this is it......... The temp. is unbelieveably great/perfectooooo!, I am disabled and when I am able to cook,the skillet allows me to make a lot extra to freeze, for when I cannot cook. LUV IT!!!!

Works very well and is clearly nonstick (and non-heat sensetive) as advertised. Cleans mostly by just shaking it over the kitchen sink. One shortcoming; the diminsions are about 1/2" shorter than the tray at each edge. I haven't had any severe splatters so far, so no problem yet. But, it would be nice if the manufacturer would offer it in different sizes (like clothes, shoes, hats, etc.) to fit the different manufacturers models. There aren't that many different brands or models that it would appear to be a serious imposition.

I ordered this because I have a small area on the right of my sink which is about six inches wide, I found mini-dish rack which fits there. But, I couldn't find a drain board that would fit in this area. I picked this item up to cut it to fit. It worked perfect. This mat holds the water protecting my counter and the color is neutral and blends in. No mildew or dampness sitting on my counter. I use the other 3/4 of this mat on the other part of my counter as a drain board for my cups and glasses. I roll it up when I'm done. This was a very good solution without losing any aesthetics.

I bought this for the specific reason of lining my kitchen cabinet above my sink so I could dry my dishes there (and not take up precious counter space). I picked this idea up from kitchens I saw in Russia.

Anyway--I was under the impression that the bottom layer of the mat is leak-proff and no water would seep through. I've now discovered (after a month or so of use) that the bottom is not waterproof and liquid does seep through. Maybe it wont if you don't use this mat as regularly and with as many dishes as I do, but I was a little disappointed with that. (Now I've lined the bottom of my cabinet with plastic wrap to prevent the water from damaging the "wood").

I really need my counter space and I have a dish washer so I used to lay dishtowels on the counter for hand washed items. They were easy to remove and store if I needed extra counter space and fill up the counter visually when they were laying there without dishes. A typical dish rack takes up a lot counter space and where do you put it when it's not needed? Also, they are always made with plates in mind, making less room for other items. I have a dishwasher and plates are one thing a dishwasher cleans well. I don't put pots and pans in my dishwasher. 1) They take up too much room 2) If they're crusty dirty my dishwasher won't really clean them (If yours will, please me know the brand!) 3) If they were used for something simple like boiling pasta water, or heating a can of soup - cleaning them literally takes 30 seconds for a squirt of soap and a rinse. I need a spot to set them until I can give them a quick swipe with a towel and put them away again. So for me, the empty, bulky dish drainer uses more counter space than it's worth.

These mats are absorbant and (I think) more attractive than most. I have a New England Cape Cod Country style home and use lots of wooden bowls and crocks etc. My counters are black soapstone and the wood color and design on these mats blends right in. They almost look like a cutting board, rather than a white towel on the counter. I really like this mat. I only bought 1 to try and now that I know how great they are, I can't find more!

These were either top rated by America's Test Kitchen or Cooks Illustrated, so I thought I'd upgrade my old pastry brush when the bristles started falling out. This works great. I really like the fact that it is silicone so it feels like it can be cleaned better (I don't have a dishwasher which gets the water so hot, probably the old kind would have been cleaned well too). I'm not a basting expert, just a new cook, but this gets the job done, cleans up well, and appears to be made of good quality materials. Definitely a keeper.

I will be the first to admit that I like OXO products and have quite a number of them around. I have yet to be disappointed in any of them. I will also be the first to admit that I do not like change all that much and have fought the good fight in trying to keep my old bristle brushes I have been so fond of. Well I finally broke down and bought one of these things for pastry.

Now I have been using a silicone brush on our outside gas grill and must admit to liking it. Why I did not want to use it on indoor cooking I do not know. Anyway....

This is an excellent brush. As the OXO company tells you, the way these things are designed it holds the liquid longer on the brush than other brands. This particular brush feels perfect in the hand and has a very nice balance to it. Since I do all the dishwashing in our family, I like something that I can stick into the dishwasher and not have to worry about it. This brush cleans up very nice.

I have used this for about a year now. In using the natural bristle brushes I would go through several in a year's time as they washed poorly, retained odors, lost bristles and were constantly clumping up. No problems with this brush in any of those areas. I figure I am getting a better job done and saving money at the same time.

Love this brush. The price here is about two dollars less expensive that what I paid for it at a local retail story.

I mostly use pastry brushes for just that: brushing melted butter over pastry specifically filo. I was really getting sick of the bristles shedding from my traditional bristle brush and was hoping that this brush would help. Well it does accomplish that: there is no shedding whatsoever. However, it is not as gentle as a bristle brush and pulls and tears the filo. It also doesn't spread the butter on the pastry nicely, more like uneven streaks. It seems to hold a fair amount of butter but the amount that actually gets deposited on the brushing surface is small. It is easy to clean though, so I'll give it a point for that.

So if you're buying this to use for actual baking/pastry applications, I'd say this is not a good brush for you. However if you're using it for brushing melted butter on a pan, waffle iron, etc. then this brush would be fine for the job.

This is a great CD and the sound is just fine. It's one of my favorite Cd's. I have several Carlos Jobim CDs as well as a few Frank CDs and its nice to have this one. I'm no sound engineer but I have never even noticed any hint of a problem with the sound. Nada. My advice: I highly recommend not paying attention to the negative reviews and buying this CD today. You won't be disappointed... Btw, there is an expensive... DVD with Frank and Carlos Jobim singing a few of these songs together on stage. I own it. They're both on stools while Carlos accompanies w/ guitar. It very good to watch but too brief. They do a melody. I forget how long but its under 10 minutes and the DVD also has solo Frank and also Ella Fitzgerald. In total the DVD is about 50+ minutes long. I just wish more was w/ Carlos...I think Blockbuster has it for rent online.

5stars - "Frank Sinatra from the "Good Ole Days."" (Quentin Compson)

I used to be a "music analyzer" years ago, but now I am completly happy been a music lover.
I am what people call an "audiophile", having Cary amps, Dynaudio speakers, Transparent cables, Meridian 518 digital D/D converter, Cambridge DAC Magic d/a converter, Wadia iPod transporter, Pro-Ject Perspex turntable.etc.
Who cares if the stereo is narrow, or an "error" of the bass is in track 5 (2:31).
The music is for listening not for "analyze"
This Cd is wonderful, warm, and very close to analogue sound of the vinyl.
Buy this CD and enjoy with a good company and a good wine.
Enjoy.

5stars - "Too much scientific listeners" (J.Grau)

I've always loved the original Sinatra/Jobim album and wanted more. I knew there was another album that never saw the light of day, so I was thrilled when I heard about this project to release it. The new songs are almost on par with the old ones, and I suspect that after listening to the a couple of hundred more time they will blend it perfectly with the rest. Sinatra's voice is in excellent condition and perfectly suited for Jobim's creations.

5stars - "Superb" (K. Berthelsen)

Two of the finest recordings Sinatra ever made, in the eyes of many collectors, are the cuts of Dindi and Song of the Sabia in the Jobim sessions. One, Dindi, appeared in the first Jobim album, and was immediately recognized as a classic. The other, Sabia, was never released, and was available only as a bootleg among collectors. A mystery is why it was not included in the 2nd partial Jobim album, Sinatra and Company. The relaxed Bossa Nova style suited Sinatra to a tee in this phase of his career--not too demanding vocally--allowing him to focus on his great talent for expression. That he was also in good voice for these sessions--not always the case in the Reprise period--is also a plus. That both songs are included in this album makes it worthwhile to own. Plus Ogerman's splendid arrangements--in my view probably the best, with Riddle, of the Reprise period.
