How do you review Microsoft Office? It has become such a necessary part of computer life today that, no matter how much you want to try going without it, you really can't.

Having gone Mac earlier this year, I tried going without it, using Mac's cheaper Office like program iWORK. I was happy with this, but found there were still some programs (like EXCEL) that I still needed.

MICROSOFT OFFICE FOR MAC works. I guess that is all I need to say about it. It does what it has done for years, and now you can do that on the Mac.

The one glitch I have found, when I type something into Word and then copy and paste it elsewhere (such as a blog post) it loses all my formatting. All the spacing disappears. This doesn't happen with iWORKS's Pages, or even in previous versions of Word. I don't know if this is a problem with the Mac version or Office 2008 (which I have only used in this format).

So, if you have a Mac, and need the software, here it is.

Despite some warnings in reviews here, I bought this update and ran into two problems the first week. My wife sent some Word docs to friends who couldn't open the new default .docx format. After she went to preferences and changed the default back to the earlier .doc format everything seems to be ok. I also received an excel attachment with a visual basic macro which would not run. I couldn't make this work. On the plus side it's nice to have several licenses so my wife and I don't run into problems when were both using Office at the same time and connected on our home wifi system.

Technologically speaking, we have an ecumenical household... Windows Vista on one desk and Mac Panther on the other. So I thought that upgrading the Mac to Mac Office 2008 would be a cinch. After all, the results of the Vista/Office 2007 upgrade were so "interesting" why should the Apple side of the house not be offered the same challenge?

It installed on the iMac with minimal trouble, but maximum time. Apparently Microsoft's Macintosh department is as feverishly obsessed with updates and fixes as the Window's side, so just doing the installation is not enough. You have to wait for the software to install, then check for updates and wait some more while they are downloaded and configured.

Truth be told, neither of us is completely thrilled with the more current versions of Office. The interface seems more convoluted and not nearly as intuitive, but perhaps with time it will become so. The added functionality with 2008 is good, although not groundbreaking. All the tools are there (you can read the product description for the details, I don't have to list them here... again).

Bottom line, if you want to upgrade your existing Mac, I would suggest that you shop carefully and buy this when it's attractively discounted. If you just got a new Mac, by all means, get it now.

This is the first version I have used, so I can't compare with older ones. It's vivid colorful and fresh looking and has the programs I am use to using with my pc- just tweaked. I am just switching over to Mac at home. It was a bit slow loading.

This seller should be taken off of Amazon. I'm not quit sure why they have not been taken off yet. I ordered this item on November 17, 08 and never recieved the item. I tried to contact the seller a few times and recieved no reply. I have contacted my credit card company in regards to this issue and hope that any one who has bought a product from this woman does the same. I repeat do not buy this product.

Blizzard did a nice job when it got the Warcraft franchise and expanded it to MMORPG-style.

Since the beggining, World of Warcraft has been true to the story that Blizzard developed along the Warcraft I, II and III storyline. New storylines and plots have been developed for this online world, and Blizzard every time succeeded in making the game more attractive.

The first expansion, Burning Crusade, reminds a lot Warcraft III (the storyline, plots and so on), but with new contents.

And then comes the Wrath of the Lich King. The storyline is basically what happened after the Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne. You will duel in Northrend, the land where Arthas, now the Lich King, have his dominions.

This is a very nice expansion to the game, adding not only more quests, new plots, new factions for you to befriend, but also a new character class called the Dark Knight, a new battleground, buildings you can destroy and lots of new fun features. Definitely a must have for World of Warcraft fans and players.

As is usual with Blizzard Products the quality is excellent.
Not much to say about the gameplay except maybe they "dumbed down" the quests a bit. But it could be because I was overgeared starting out. And as usual, Blizzard's quest tips are sometimes vague.
Addons are working flawlessly. And I have no lag in Dalaran, only when it is extremely busy (Shattrath City?).
The new acheivements give a nice twist to the game, meaning you can focus on other things, besides leveling.
What I really like is the number of Flight Paths. Travel is alot easier at the lower levels than in Outlands.
The graphics are intense so you NEED to have some updated or modern hardware to get decent gameplay.

Amazon's service was on par - package arrived on schedule, without incident. No problems from that side.

I have played and quit World of Warcraft twice. I really did not have much interest in WoTLK until word of mouth and other reviewers stated how much fun the game was. I decided to pick it up thinking I'd play about 60 days and then quit again. Well, once I installed the game, I definitely see myself playing this for much longer than 60 days.

Google "Wrath of the Lich King" and read reviews to get a more detailed analysis of the pros and cons of the game. What I will add is that the deathknight character seems so much more powerful than the other characters in PvE, yet somehow they are balanced in PvP (in my experience). The technology behind the game is amazing - the game world gradually changes with you as you progress through quests so that the world appears much more dynamic than in expansions past. Overall, if you are on the fence, get off it and get this game quickly. You will not regret it (although your social life will).

$For the second year in a row, TaxCut updates are failing on my Windows Vista machine. I am not the only one to have this problem. Some have blamed Antivirus software: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=60138 But I do not think this is the issue. Last year I had a totally different AV software and I had the same failures. I have worked out a manual work around, although it is ridiculous. The updater that TaxCut uses seems unable to acquire "create" permissions for its own directories, regardless of the fact that the permissions are set OK. I have verified this by the log files which generate installer error 1321 (The installer has insufficient priveleges...) Apparently, the installer has no problem updating existing files, it just cannot create new ones. To work around this, do as follows: - In TaxCut, choose "Update after I close the program". - Close TaxCut and when Vista UAC asks permission to run the installer, click "Cancel". - Locate the installer (should be in C:\ProgramData\TaxCut\2008\Update) - Right click the file and choose "Run as administrator" - When you encounter the first error, note the filename and location - Go to the Start Menu and find Notepad. Right-click on the program icon and choose "Run as administrator" - Put some text in the Notepad file. I put " ". - Choose "File -> Save As" and save the file with the exact name and path that the installer complained about - Choose "Retry" or "Continue" in the installer (I can't remember the exact wording) - Repeat the last two steps for each file that needs to be created. I think there were 10-20 of them. Eventually, once you have created all the files, the installer will succeed. It does not matter what text you put in the file as long as you get the filename and path right. TaxCut will overwrite the file anyway. This is a ridiculous work around, but I already paid for TaxCut and got a good deal on my AV software because of it. I have been using Taxcut for at least 5-6 years now.

My first comment is in response to all the 1-stars on this product - all of which seem to be complaints about the state e-file charge. As I remember, the state e-file has never been included in the price. Federal e-file is always included but I always have to suck it up and pay for state. I suspect the people with these negative reviews have short memories.

I find it useful that information transfers from year to year with minimal changes. The interface is pretty good - not perfect - I find that little changes from year to year, which makes me wonder why I can't pay an upgrade charge rather than buying a new product each year.

Otherwise, no big complaints here - software works for me and is cheaper than going to an accountant. Plus, I can take my time and complete the paperwork over a week-or-so rather than trying to pull everything together at once.

One of these days, I will try an accountant to see if they can find any differences; but, I haven't found the time to try it yet.

TaxCut is substantially less expensive compared to turbotax; and there are no deceptive practices to deal with such as spyware, "print" charges and new upgrade charges for forms previously included [e.g. TT deluxe does not support Shedule C filers such as 1099 recipients, upgrade to "premier" is required]. TaxCut is a very effective tax preparation software comparable to tt. I give this product a 4 star rating because I prefer the interview questions contained in tt, however, that is the only downside and well worth the satisfaction of firing Intuit for its deceptive practices [again] with turbotax.

TaxCut offers individuals a powerful option for preparing an income tax return that is relatively easy to use. TaxCut assumes that you know little or nothing about income tax law. The software will ask a number of questions and will prompt you for information based on your answers. It will help tremendously if you gather as many of your tax documents as possible before starting. This software is significantly cheaper than paying a service to prepare it and much easier than doing in manually.

The e-file option has been around for some years and is a great way to get your refunds faster. But if you owe money, there's not as much of an advantage. Still, you get five free electronic filing so you might as well use one. In the unlikely event that you plan to prepare more than five returns, make sure you use the e-file for the ones due a refund and file the ones with money due manually. The program will print all the forms you need so it's easy to do and it will save you the cost of the fees for the additional e-files.

The one negative for this program is that the publisher used to offer free e-filing for the state return as well as federal but has dropped that for the 2008 edition. With a charge weighing in a whopping $19.95 for e-filing each state return, this is not a trivial fee. I would recommend filing state returns manually unless you will receive a refund large enough to make getting the check a week or so faster worth that extra money.

Please note that this version covers both Federal and State returns. Most people will need both, but if you live in a state with no income tax then you'll want to look at H&R Block TaxCut 2008 Premium Federal + e-file for considerably less money.

If you don't itemize your deductions and have a very simple return, you might be better off preparing the forms manually on your own. On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you have a return with major league complications, you should probably go to a good CPA. For everyone else, this is really a no-brainer. It's inexpensive, easy to use, and accurate. I've been using TaxCut for quite a few years and would not even consider giving it up.

Look everybody don't hang the team that put together Spore. Everyone was expecting them to reinvent the wheel and they didn't, they did something better, created a fun game. Spore does have flaws but when you have such an open ended game(as far as character creation is concerned) there are going to be issues. So take a breath and take in what you are experiencing. This is a rpg, rts, p&c adv., and a buch of other abbreviations rolled up into one. It is this diversity that makes this game great and ultimately flawed. It is fun to get to go through all these different games with the same character but there was so much to do the creators didn't have a chance to make all phases of the game work perfectly. Or at least that is how I feel. Spore is fun and encourages creativity, it also has never crashed or given any other types of technical issues. I say give it a chance and you might be suprised.

So I recently bought Spore, after reading a bunch of negative reviews on Amazon. I played the Cell and Creature stages, which consist of basic and repetitive tasks. The Tribal Stage is a little better, but very basic. The whole alliance/warfare options, being your only options, sort of limit the game. The first four stages had endless potential, and I must day I was let down by the simplicity of these stages.

However, the space stage is the cat's meow, so to speak. The sheer detail and complexity of the environment is overwhelming. This is obviously where most of the work into producing this game went. The exploration of the millions of user generated planets leaves the possibilities limited to your fellow humans' imaginations. The space stage is quite entertaining, however limited the player is by the alliance/ warfare options.

It is sort of annoying how you can just add parts to your creature, and spend time perfecting it, instead of the creature adapting to it's environment. And it is also tantalizing how all the work you put into your creature is unnecessary, seeing as how your creature could be a blob and still prosper.

That being said, I would recommend this game for most kids and some adults who enjoy this sort of "God" game. It is very entertaining, with much thought and detail put into it. I feel like the game could be less limited, but the gaming experience is still one worth discovering.

My 9 y.o. son got this game for Xmas & absolutely loves it. I played because I was curious and needed a new game. The game is simple and boring for adults. It's awesome for kids and I highly recommended it for children because of simplified strategy and game play. My son likes all sorts of games from childrens' games to difficult strategy games (Medieval Total War) and he is in love with Spore. I gave the game the rating I did based on my own experience with the game.

I was not aware that my son would need to purchase anything extra to use this card but it does not work with the downloaded version of the game so we had to spend an extra $80 in order to use the card! I love playing WOW. It's so fun!

WOW helped me get the follow accomplished with my life:
1. Helped me earn college credits from home! Yes, Blizzard is now accredited Regionally. You earn credits in Information Systems, Math, Alchemy, Physical Education, Military Science, and Time Management. Incredible huh!
2. Helped me get chicks. Being on a computer all day helped me become a chick magnet! Girls were asking for my myspace URL left and right!
3. Helped me learn time management. Instead of being like the losers that I went to high school with, I spent 80+ hours a week doing something that will help with progressing in my life. and to think all these losers joined the military or went to State Universities.. LOL!
4. Helped me learn foreign language '1337'. Leet is very useful these days.. especially in the IT industry. LOL!

Plus, the game is just so fun! Funner than Call of Duty 4 and the GTA series!

I decided to solve the problem "network setting have been changed by another program", received after I installed a recent Mac security update, with an upgrade from Tiger to Leopard. I had exhausted the possibilities offered by the Mac Fix It forum, and I had not been able to access the internet for a long time. Apple, it seems, has not offered a fix.

Leopard installed easily, and I did a custom install, choosing to not install printer drivers, non-English languages, and a Unix module, saving myself 5 or so gigs of space. The dial up internet is now working great, and surfing on the Web is much faster than with Windows XP, with many less problems. I also installed the recent 10.5.5 update.

This is a truly remarkable product; I have used almost every virtualization product in existence (Virtualbox, VMWare Server/Workstation, Xen, QEMU, KVM...) and none have come close to being as fulfilling and highly integrated as this one, not even the original VMWare products on Windows works this well.

Here is a typical user story:
1) Use bootcamp in OS X to prepare space for a second OS.
2) Install the second OS (I use Windows Vista on a MacBook AIR).
3) Start VMWare in OS X and it will discover your new OS, install guest drivers and provide seamless integration (copy/paste, hibernation, run Windows programs from Mac, share files...).

The speed is good, I have no issue with running multiple programs in OS X and Vista all at once on my Air (fx. Oracle 11 inside Windows Vista). However what I find most amazing is the level of integration; when I close the lid on my MacBook it hibernates all running OSs. I can even assign windows programs to be started when I click a file in OS X.

To sum up this is one of the best software experiences I have had in many years, easily comparable to the pleasures of other famous Mac software (IPhoto, ITunes, QuickSilver..). Get it now.

Have used this for 11 months seamlessly. I love the way you can have PC applications on your Mac dock. One click and you open Windows and the application (example Word). The only problems I have had are with Windows -- the usual slowdowns and crashes. Nothing different from when I had a PC.
Fusion is priced well, too. My only beef is the commitment to partitioning your hard drive. As far as I can tell, you cannot undo this without reformatting your hard drive.

I have a new (refurbished) Macbook Pro 2.4ghz/4GB RAM.

All my legacy files and software are Windows so I need to run a WinXP Pro VM on my Mac to continue to use them.

One reason I bought a Mac was to reduce the level of frustration achieved using Wintel for 9 years.

Grrrr.

Fusion was a very promising piece of software which I bought it for half-price to boot almost 30 days ago. I know this because my 30 days of free support is about to expire and I've been getting my money's worth, in quantity if not quality. I am worried because almost (literally) every time I boot it up, I encounter yet another problem. The on-line support is generally OK, never exceptional and sometimes downright lousy. Some of the support folk are truly diligent, I believe. They are likely located in India, based on names and time of day of the responses. This is not a bad thing necessarily as they are working on issues while I am sleeping and I can wake up to a reply.

Some problems:
1. Virtual disks gobbling up the entire physical disk for no reason;
2. Windows Briefcases not handled well and sometimes their use in a way I've done for years on Wintel is prevented. It is a bug. I was told -- it's the OS, not our problem. More than once.
3. cannot right click to get certain context menus, either by a mouse right click or a two-finger-tap on touchpad.
4. one-time strange interaction with Seagate Drive Manager s/w
5. the use of Windows Search to catalogue the virtual drive was hit and miss.
6. newest one is keyboard shortcuts that don't work at all.

Some user error here? Probably. I like documentation, when available. (Don't get me started on Mac docs!)

All in all, there are a bunch of small, annoying bugs that prevent the s/w from actually working as expected. Which is too bad because it is great being able to bounce between Mac and Windows apps, backup my data to both MacOS and NTFS partitions (from the like OS).

If things don't improve soon, I'm inclined to look at either Parallels ($) or VirtualBox (free).

Are these issues with OS X 10.5.6 which I installed a week or two ago? Maybe some, but likely not all.

I encourage you to see what VirtualBox has to too offer first and then maybe parallels before choosing Fusion. I have no experience with either.

I never used Parallels so I'm not going to make a comparison between the two, besides, there are plenty of good comparison recommendations between them.

As it is in most every company, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint slide shows abound and since the Mac is becoming fairly common in the workplace, it only stands to reason that you have seamless interoperability between the two. One of the things I noticed about office apps running natively on the Mac, even though they say they "export" or "save as" versions of Windows applications, they don't exactly make the cut. I work a lot in PowerPoint and Excel and often have to share slides or spreadsheets with others to collaborate on projects and presentations. The difficulty I had with doing this was that the version I sent them never seemed to look as good as it did when I was finished with it. I'd get all sorts of complaints from those working with me that my Mac just screwed things up.

I decided to try Fusion, load WIndows on it and just work with it for a bit. I liked it so much I ended up buying it but not only that, I found I was using it every day for other things too.

The latest version of Fusion works really well. Windows seems to run flawlessly (as flawlessly as any Microsoft product can) and allows me to do the bulk of my work on my Mac using Keynote or Pages then work on my spreadsheets through Fusion, Windows and Excel. When I finish my presentation, I go to Windows, open it in PowerPoint and tweak it for my coworkers use. This helps ensure they don't have to make any major changes.

One thing I've noticed is that Excel for Mac just runs like a slug on sandpaper, very slow and a real hassle not to mention it doesn't have all the capabilities I need so running Excel through Fusion with Windows isn't an option.

Recommendations:
I highly recommend anyone considering Fusion to max out your RAM on your machine. All Mac's will thank you anyway but Fusion works must better the more memory you have to throw at it. I also recommend you create a fresh install then take a snapshot of the image and burn that to a DVD for safe keeping. As with any Windows install, after a little while, you'll want to revert back to the fresh install at some point. Windows is like an air filter in your home, after a while, you just need to put another one in because it gets so clogged up with junk it doesn't work as well as it should and only causes problems.

If you're going to run Fusion, be sure you have the latest updates. As with any Windows computer, you need to reboot it frequently. Even though you're running a Mac which doesn't need to be rebooted as often, its still a virtual Windows Computer and will still need to be rebooted at least once a day.

Bottom line, this is a great product, works really well and has a great support team behind it.

I am using this to run Windows XP on my new MacBook Pro. The first thing I recommend is downloading the trial version, it is fully functional. I have no experience with Parallels or any other software of this type. The reviews I read and the trial provided me with no reason to try anything else.

Setup: Must admit that it would have been nice to have better directions, there were a few screens I was not sure of what to do...I just went with what was selected. I also used VWware fusion to install Windows XP by installing Fusion first.

Performance: I only use one program from the Windows side and I do so through Unity mode. The program works great and I am happy with the speed.

Complaint: If I try to print from the PC side, it will not print in color. I tried tech support with no luck.

Overall: I am very happy with the capabilities and performance of this program. It really made the transition to a Mac easy and possible.

Unfortunately this item does not come with a manual so I was completely unable to use it without purchasing an additional book, priced at [...], with directions about how to use it. That information should be clearly stated somewhere on the site. Nowhere does it say that directions are not included. In fact the manual is called "Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac - The Missing Manual." That, to me, is a scam.

I have a macbook and needed a graphics package, but didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars. I caught this on a good sale, and I am so glad I bought it. It was a little confusing for me at first, but after a few hours I was really pleased with how much I could do. The help that is included is pretty good for explaining how to use the specific commands, but I needed more help in understanding how to work with layers and some of the effects. I ended up searching the Internet for help (entered the product name and what I wanted to do) and got the step-by-step help I needed. Once I understood how to do some of my projects, I was off and running. I think it is a pretty powerful product considering the price.

This came pre-installed with my computer I bought earlier this year. I'd always wanted to use the Photoshop program and this is a excellent beginning tool.

It's very easy to use and there are many free tutorials online. I use this for editing my comic with. The photos I have manipulated using this turned out great also. If you're a artist wanting to improve your skills in photo editing or picture manipulation this is a good starting point.

It's worth the money for the product.

I bought this pack just after the Lich King expansion pack (which I haven't needed yet) came out. I have thoroughly enjoyed levelling up my characters and exploring the game world as I learned my way about and how to play to a reasonable standard.

There is no doubt that the game maps are huge and it does take some time getting about. This is offset by the fun level of the travelling - flying over different maps on a gryphon or hippogriff can be very entertaining and WOW even has different skies and weather according to the time of day! In addition some of the quests can be quite amazing - the one where you kill Tethyr in Theramore is quite different from most of the questing within the game and great fun.

To be honest after the first week or so I stopped using the enclosed guides and I haven't yet got to the point of needing the Burning Crusade because my characters aren't high enough level. Despite all those web sites saying that you can level your character to 70 or 80 within a few days if you're new to the game it probably won't happen that fast. You're much better taking time to get to know the game areas and enjoy playing it. I've got to the stage of using online levelling guides some of the way and just grabbing every quest in sight and doing what I want the rest of the time.

WOW is very addictive and there are so many different things to do in it that it'll be some time before most players get bored with it. However before you start playing there will be very large downloads - mine were well over 1 GB in total and took several evenings to complete. Patience is the key here and once the downloads were complete and I was able to play I found it to be well worth the effort.

You don't have to pay to play right away - the game in this box is free for the first month and then your credit card will be charged or you can buy the 60 day credit card from Amazon or one of the WOW distributors in the high street. So you've plenty of time to decide for yourself.

Let me start by saying I have played World of Warcraft (WoW) for nearly two years now. Wow is by far the most fun game i have ever come across. The one thing that does put a damper on it sometimes is the amount of time bad players can cost you and your group when doing some of the harder content at end game, it's amazing how many people can't figure out that fire is bad and when you're about to explode running over to hug the healer isn't a great idea. Luckily that is a fairly small portion of the population and the majority of people you meet are enjoyable and fun to play with. Solo minded people WILL NOT like this game.

The battle chest itself is actually cheaper than classic and BC by themselves plus you get the guides as that added little bonus. For anyone considering starting this is the way to go.

I am not a gamer at all, but my husband got addicted to this game and insisted I try it. It is really a fun game! The programmers who made it must be tops in their field because there are very few glitches or bugs and the game-play is very intuitive. The detail is just amazing - from stars in the sky to footprints on the ground, they haven't left out any little thing. You really become part of this imaginary world.

Even though a large part of this game involves killing members of the other faction as well as various other computer-generated beasts, this is not a mean-spirited game. It's difficult to be successful unless you team up with others and cooperate. I have seen a lot of very altruistic, helpful, and generous behavior from other players. There are always a few dorks around, too, of course, but for the most part this game seems to bring out the chivalry in its players. I'd recommend this game for age 13 and up.

Yes, I admit it. I was born in the age before computer games. I remember when "Pong" hit the scene and revolutionized games. Well, the World of Warcraft Battlechest has revolutionized gaming yet again. The graphics are splendid, the action is fierce, the story lines surprising and amazing and if you take the time to watch the "cinemagraphics" you will be astounded. This game is fun no matter what age you are. I've only been playing a short time and this is definately my new favorite pasttime.

I decided, with some trepidation at the age of 62, to learn Spanish so that I can make a bigger contribution in education programs at the Monterey Bay Aquarium where I volunteer. Many offerings are in both English and Spanish. The ability to communicate and connect with parents and chaperones who speak only Spanish would be especially meaningful to me. I am very impressed with what I have accomplished in a few short weeks and look forward to completing the course. Just as they say in the ads, I am convinced that anyone motivated to learn Spanish could do so with this product.

I recommend that interested shoppers look for discounts. I could have saved $50 if I had been more attentive to a special offer in Scientific American Magazine.

In response to many good reviews here, both pro and con, and to my own experience of purchasing Rosetta Stone (Latin American) Spanish, 1,2 & 3 with the Audio Companion through Amazon,... I would like to alert potential purchasers to two mistakes I made... 1) I failed to find out if the (used) version I purchased (for nearly $400.00) for Mac was for the current level of Mac software (OS X). IT WAS NOT! And, 2) I failed to research the available information (even if just from Amazon) about the REPUTATION OF THE SELLER (no need to name it here). I have not been able to get adequate assistance so far. (After finding that the two "help" email addresses included with my order were both extinct, I went through Amazon to get assistance. They got the seller to respond from a third email address, but as yet no reciprocity, and feel out of -for me- a substantial investment). I admit to being one who is vastly intimidated when trying to go back and reconnect -digitally, especially- with a seller. So MY SECOND POINT, then, is to DEFINITELY DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THE SELLER as well as the product.
I must admit to one other example of poor judgement on my part. Upon, subsequent to my purchase, rereading all reviews, I realize I did not read adequately the negative reviews of the product itself, especially those related to the customer opinions about "poor software design", which, in hindsight, I would consider now quite helpful.

$It sounds like a good idea, but it's not. I used this product over time, so this is not a snap judgement. Rosetta Stone does not deliver what is promises. I learned more of a foreign language in a semester of college than this poorly designed product delivered in 6 months of use. Massive waste of time and money. Now, several hundred dollars worth of software sits on my shelf collecting dust. PROS: - Rosetta Stone will consume hours of your time and lull you into believing that you are learning a language. CONS: - WAY, WAY over-priced. - Designed to work only when the CD is in your computer (TIP: Plan on carrying the language disk around with your laptop if you want to use the software.) - Voices become extremely grating over time. - Moves you at a snail's pace; if you are learning a language for business or expect to move past kindergarten level in a few months, then forget this product. If you want to learn a language then I'd recommend you take a course at your local college or buy one of the many texts available and a dictionary; sadly for me, either of these routes would have cost me a fraction of the price of this product and served me better in the long run.
