After spending many hours on the Internet researching which HD camcorder to buy (Sony or Canon) and equally importantly, what software to use... I settled on the Canon HF10 and this amazing Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum Pro Pack - it's bundled with an Sound Forge which is a great Audio Editor and DVD Architect software for making and burning great DVD compilations with custom menus.

I shot some video, connected the Canon HF10 to my notebook and then used Sony Vegas to import the video straight into Sony Vegas... from the camcorder - very fast and no problems.

Sony Vegas just works great... but SONY has many different "Vegas" packages floating around so be very careful about which one you buy...

THIS IS THE CORRECT ONE TO GET!!! AMAZING PRICE TOO!!!

It is very disappointing that Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum does not support Windows Vista 64-bit. And the worse thing is they don't even bother to tell it is not supported. I read here in one of the reviews so I started searching, I couldn't find anywhere on their website (not even in Sony forums), anywhere on Amazon.com, or anywhere in the web saying that it is not compatible with Vista 64-bit version. So, I decided to contact Sony Live Help, and here is what they said " It will work only on 32 bit OS". Then why do you say it works in Vista, why are you trying to hide that it doesn't support 64 bit version of Vista. This is ridiculous. I tested the software, while it seems powerful, it doesn't seem very user friendly. But I am sure tutorials on Sony website would be very helpful learning the software. If you are Windows Vista 64-bit user don't buy it, Sony says so.

This is a very strong package. The interface looks intimidating and is likely above a very green computer user, but for those that are very comfortable on a PC, this a great. One thing I figured out recently (on Vista) is that when you leave a folder view open of your media (pics or video), and with thumbnails on, you can drag an drop into you timeline without having to look for the file through the Sony Vegas explorer.

The output can be sent out in many different formats to be burned to a DVD. I found that is you have a smaller amount of video, the AVI (uncompressed) format puts out the best picture, but takes up a lot of space. If you are not worried about space, then MPG-2 video seems to be the best bet.

The BEST part of this software versus others that I have used is that it does not lock up or crash. I had many problems with Roxio Media Creator, but that was also several versions and years ago, might be better now. Best of luck.

I bought a Canon Vixia high-definition camera and the freeware that came with it was crap. Sony Vegas is incredible. There's very little to say about it other than it's a complete professional studio on your laptop-- you could edit broadcast quality video with this software.

It's definitively one of the best video editing tools in the market. It has almost all the features I need for editing video, and audio. The only thing missing is a couple of plug-ins not available with this version, which you can still buy them later but it would make more sense if it had them already. Overall I'm very pleased and satisfied with it.

I have used previous versions of Toast and been pleased with the results.
But this version really makes producing a dvd a snap and the menus it creates have a really professional look. I don't have a BluRay recorder, but this version not only works with dual layer, it will compress down automatically to fit onto a single layer.

You know what irks me about this product? When it is converting the export progress box has an advertisement down the bottom right ("Got elgato turbo.264?"). As I work and my mouse moves over it, an ad keeps popping up. Now if I had not paid good money for this (ad supported) I wouldn't mind, but I find this type of cross-promotion highly offensive. I don't pay for advertisements and this will definitely be my last purchase from this company!

I bought this mainly to record and edit TiVo shows but it contains other very useful tools as well. I especially like the feature that allows you to insert a damaged/scratched CD/DVD and it will attempted to recover the data. It works great. I have a CD of backed-up family pictures (they have been deleted from the hard drive) that was very scratched and would work on anything, but this program was able to recover them. It's worth the money.

With the number of media files I have to deal with now I didn't think of going beyond archiving. I like this suite as it made archiving much faster. I burned data dvds which hold all types of media. Then I made more targeted ones such as stereo dvds for music and dvd-vcr ones to play videos on tv sets. I made great use of the indexing and label programs to get everything cataloged.
Now I have some time to play around. Slide shows are easy and the results make it seem like it took much longer to make. The reality is it can take only a few minutes to put pan/scan, subtitles, and music. The slide shows can also be timed so the transitions happen at the beat of the music. I've also been inspired to take home movies and add special effects. Subtitles help a lot since everyone asks where the footage was taken and when.

I tried twice to install this. Got errors but went through anyway. Could not even get it to start up after installation.

I'm a software developer and can usual work around any issues that come up but not this time. Nothing special about the machine I was installing to, either. It just plain does not install as a stable commercial software application should. I did not contact their help desk. I figured it should just install out of the box and, if not, it was trouble. It's a shame because the features sounded very exciting.

Sent it back and am using Corel VideoStudio 12 now. It installed just as you would expect and runs fine. Nice features for the kinds of stuff I want to do and no hassles so far.

I've tried multiple versions of Easy Media Creator and have had nothing but headaches. If you try to use there online support you will wait 2-4 weeks for an answer and many times they obviously haven't read the input to them....they go right back to the beginning to start all over again. The best support is on the discussion groups.

TAKE CAREFUL NOTE: IF YOU WANT "REAL" SUPPORT, YOU NEED TO PAY SIGNIFICANTLY FOR IT!

I suggest a google search and checking into free trials. Pinnacle has a free 30 day trail....if it works, buy it! If not, uninstall it! There are others that have the same deal.

The idea that one suite can cover digital media is good, but there will always be something missing. Rather than review this product from the perspective of what it didn't do, I'm looking at what the given programs are and how well they function.
Device managment for me is one of the best things. The program will export and import songs, photos, and videos. My current devices include a Samsung phone, an MP3 player, camcorder, and camera. Plug in and the program knows what the device is. I didn't have to search the web for all the conversions.
Music management is made easier. From my cds and some audio capture I have missing song data. I could download the song data with the automated system. It includes album artwork.
Video editing can be easy or hard, depending on the goal. Frankly I've only been interested in cataloging and making basic changes so this is more than enough. Cinemagic has auto chapter cutting so there isn't much work involved. Videowave offers more complete editing but I've hardly used it to say anything more.
Photo projects are basic but easy. Cards and slideshows are easily made with some basic formats.
Disk burning management comes with indexing content. It's a good way to keep inventory since it keeps the indexes even when the disk is not in the burner.
Backup can be set by date. I get a reminder to save my files. A good practice considering that I was just hit by some nasty spyware that took days to clear up.

The software crashes whenever I try to create a slideshow larger than 79 photos. I can't get through to Roxio support. They direct you to user forums where the only suggestion is a "Clean Install" which comes with the following guidance:
It takes some time (1 hour?)...
It is tedious (Regedit)...
It can create a problem if you don't follow the instructions...
What?!?!? I have never seen a product like this.

I bought my first MAC thinking that, even though I loved my previous editing software (Video Studio 11), Final Cut Express, with all of the positive responses to it, had to be as good or better. Now, before I move on, I want to let you know that I am not an editing professional. I make movies of my kids (each year of their lives, age 1, 2, 3) and have done a few other projects such as a 40 year anniversary DVD for my inlaws and a DVD on my travels to various baseball stadiums over the years (17, but thats another story). So, as you can see, I'm a normal Dad who just wants to make personal home movies more exciting.

Two things really, really disappointed me about Final Cut Express:

1 - the inability to easily incorporate Text into my DVD. With Video Studio 11, it took all of about 1-2 minutes for me to type right into the timeline what I wanted and where I wanted it. If I had special effects to add to the text, it was very easy for me to do. With Final Cut Express, not so much. You need to go to an outside product (called Live Text) to create a separate text project and then import it into your project. While Live Text seems like an incredible text application, the whole process is just too time consuming and honestly, for the novice, very difficult to understand. This alone had me praying for Video Studio to release a version of its editing software for MAC.

2 - Pictures. With Video Studio 11, I could (very easily) bring my pictures to life with movement within the picture. What I mean when I say this is, I could easily pan across a picture, say from one person on the left side to another person on the opposite side. Or, I could start of by zooming in on my Sons eyes and then maybe easily zoom out to show everyone in the picture - again, very easily. With Final Cut Express - not so much. I attended a One to One training ($99 for the year at my local Apple store) and was told that this alone would be a full hour of training to master and even then, would take practice. Keep in mind, I bought this "Express" version and not the "Pro" version - thinking I was getting something made for someone who is not a professional.

Overall, I love my MAC. I really do! And I plan on going back again and again for the 1:1 training at my store so I can master this program. I only wish the people at Apple would have thought about ways to make this easier to use for folks who are not as technically savvy.

I am still praying that someday, Corel (makers of Video Studio 11) will make their products for MACs as well. I will convert immediately.

Working with Final Cut Express

Creating titles and credits with Express is important. The key is the Video Generator. You can create synthesized clips that you superimpose over your existing video clips in the Final Cut Express Timeline.

For good-looking titles, you can use san serif fonts such as Arial, Futura, Gill Sans, Helvetica and Impact. I have found using bold, red or blue 30 point fonts effective for my titles.

You need to watch for the 20 percent factor. The 'Title Save Boundary' is 20 percent smaller than your television screen. To see the boundaries in Final Cut Express, go to View then to Show Title. Best to keep your titles within the safe zone.

Final Cut Express allows you to create rolling credits like the credits at the end of a movie. You can set the duration of your video clips plus set the in and out points for speed of the text and scrolls.

Looking at Final Cut Express Storyboard

Storyboard gives me a visual look at my movie. I control-click the Final Cut Express browser and choose large icon new. Then, I drag the clips into the order that I want them to be played. Next, I click on the project's tab in the Browser and save it. Finally, I save the entire project.

Now to add my new storyboard to Final Cut Express 4 sequences. Draw a marquee around the Storyboard clips. Next, I drag the clips from my Final Cut Express Browser to my Timeline and save the project. To protect them, I can lock them to make sure that they cannot be modified. I can lock and unlock them with the F4 key for video tracks and the F5 key for audio tracks.

Pro Reaction

Express allows you to import iMovie projects. You can also import your Final Cut Express project to iDVD complete with special chapter marker. Express comes with an excellent hardcopy paper manual for learning how to use Final Cut Express 4. The manual is easy to follow without computer jargon.

You have to work at learning how to use the Final Cut Express application. You have to spend the time to read and work with the Final Cut Express manual.

You cannot capture DV across time-code breaks. You cannot import your Final Cut Express project to iMovie or QuickTime with chapter markers and comments.

Final Remarks

Express is better than my iMovie applications and gives you professional storyboard, title and video effects.

First things first, you will need at least some form of experience with professional editing software to really get fulfillment from buying this product. If you are switching from say IMovie to this, it will be very hard to get used to as it is far more advanced in what it can do.

Now, with that being said I think it's still pretty easy to use if you just mess around with it. In addition it's probably your best bet for the price.

The only complaints I have are just nitpicking things. For example, I wish that it gave previews of the the filters and effects so you didn't have to apply them to see what they do.

Obviously, if you are planning on editing professionally you'd want to get Final Cut Pro but since its about $1200 this is an excellent program for anything else you'd want to do.

I've seen comments on some sites complaining of crashes and freeze ups. Not the case for me. It works great. It took me a while to find video editing software that works well with a 64 bit system. This software is running on an i7 core 920 chip with 6000 mg of ram. No complaints! This is a good product.

I love tinkering with new software. It's always exciting to see what new features are added to old favorites, or to discover a totally new program that gives me new features or help me out. However, with the new release of VideoStudio Pro X2 from Corel I can't see that many new features that interest me -- after using this for two months I am left with the question, "Just WHY would I need to upgrade to this version?"

Of course the answer to that question is because of high definition video. Good answer, but the truth of the matter is that HD is just not catching on -- yet. It's technology that is slightly ahead of its time. even Blu-Ray adoption is mediocre, as most people find that regular definition video is doing them just fine. So when it comes to homemade video and productions one has to wonder what the big rush is to produce content in HD that will, in all likelyhood, be viewed on regular definition devices or uploaded to the 'net that will be compress it down to a more manageable size and form.

The program itself has many of the same features as the previous version, with the only real big change being added support for HD. It's still got a lot of the quirks that the previous version had as well -- not exactly easy to use, and requires a lot of tinkering to get the basics down. If you have anything short of a Core2 machine then you might want to pass this up as it will take a lot of processing power to convert videos and to use the program effectively.

Honestly, I would say that unless you have a burning desire to go HD you can get most of the features you will need for video editing from Windows Movie Maker -- a freebie from Microsoft. No, you won't get all the bells and whistles -- but come on, how often do we use all those bells and whistles? Most of us just want to store our home movies in a digital format.

The bottom line is this. If you need HD, this is a good choice -- albeit it with a learning curve. For the rest of us, stick with the older version and skip the upgrade or just use the free Windows Movie Maker.

I have a "flip" video camera which I love and use frequently. This excellent program by Corel, the VideoStudio Pro X2, suits me well for editing. To be honest I do not use the many aspects of it which are offered for more than that, as yet. I expect that I will slowly segue into adding to my repertoire of visual effects with the assistance of the excellent manual included, which is massive (200 pages!) but truly helpful and worthwhile.
I don't want to sound pompous but I think that nothing compares to the fascination of real motion when you are documenting the magic that is life. Corel has created a wonderful software product to enhance the enchantment, when you are ready, of the wonders which surround you. Whether these wonders are simply your daily family life, a special event such as a wedding, or a holiday, it is all so great to see in motion, as demonstrated by the fascination many of us have for YouTube--which this program can help you with, if you wish.
I used this during the recent Holiday season and I now have memories which I honestly feel are way more exceptional than I could have achieved previously, thanks to this software, the Corel StudioVideo Pro X2. Furthermore, I am much more encouraged to imagine that I can master high quality videos with the help of this software than I had been previously. I was so in the dark-- and now I see a light at the end of the tunnel, with this product. :)
I am really glad I own Corel's VideoStudio Pro X2!. I recommend it. I expect, (albeit slowly, because none of this is my strong point), to learn how to use it to enhance my videos and edit them in a really "professional manner", eventually. It will be a while before I get everything out of it that it offers, because it offers a LOT!
Finally I also think that it is reasonably priced and worth the money. Give it a try! You might be pleasantly surprised at what you can accomplish, just as I was! I plan to keep working at it, too. Anything which stretches my imagination always intrigues me enough to keep at it. This software does exactly that.

Why buy this product? Very sophisticated. Relative ease of use if you are computer literate and have some knowledge of earlier glitches and failures.

To use it it appears the user needs more than the minimums identified. A fast processor and lots of memory storage, oh yeah and maybe a dedicated computer?

I believe the wizard is a great tool. the book is meant to inform, and this is a tool that requires practice to use.

We all run into problems so dedicate your time, your machine, and be patient.

Okay, for starters, I've been writing scripts professionally for year... for Warners, Paramount, ABC, CBS, etc.. and for myself.

THE PROS:
1) It's THE industry standard. You can send Final Draft files to any studio, no problem. Everybody uses it.
2) It's easy to jump between slug lines, action, dialog, etc.
3) Keeping track of revisions is simple and works.

THE CONS:
1) Buggy as hell. In fact, its embarrassingly buggy and the company hasn't fix the bugs IN YEARS!!! Guess when you dominate an industry, why waste money on making the product work as advertised. This policy worked wonders for the American auto industry, didn't it.
2) If you have a problem with their bugs, call the company and they charge you $2 per minute to solve their software screw ups.
3) Their "collabowriter" feature. Hah. I've known countless writers over the years in Hollywood. Never met who got that to work.
4) No updates in years!
5) Oh, did I mention buggy?
6) Notes feature is super basic. Barely useable.

Final Draft certainly has a monopoly on the screenwriting software market; it is the industry standard. However, because they don't have to compete, they also don't seem to be motivated to fix the bugs in their product. I have bought the last three versions of the product and put them to good use. I just wish they would figure out a way to fix the all too frequent crashing trouble. I have lost more than a few pages of work due to unexplained crashes that their tech support department cannot seem to explain/fix. Their pre-made TV templates seem to be the most buggy. That said, it is a really helpful program, but just make sure if you choose to use Final Draft: SAVE OFTEN.

Very nice video monitor color calibrator. Extremely easy to setup and use. It is not 100% perfect, I am printing pictures now that are 99% what I see on the screen now. I would highly recommend for someone who needs to color correct but doesn't want to spend the $250+ for the high end ones.

I just received the Huey and it is great!!!
I have used Spyder2 before and this one blows it away.
The Huey is much more intuitive then the Spyder and calibration process is much faster.
I am using it to calibrate 2 monitors on Vista Home basic 64bit and it works perfect.

I am really happy with it and I cannot understand all the negative feedback it got in Amazon. Maybe Pantone had a defective series of these, but no more.

I highly recommend this product, especially for the price.

I was never able to successfully calibrate my monitor with this tool. Colors were consistently off target after calibration. It turned out that Nvidia's calibration software gave the desired result, and happened to be bundled with the video card.

This monitor calibrator works just fine on my 24" iMac. It's very easy to set up and use. I noticed very little change in the colors of my photos on the monitor after I calibrated the monitor, but I guess with the quality of the monitor, that it was pretty well adjusted to begin with.

I did a lot of research before buying a color calibration device. All of them had quite a lot of negative reviews, including the Huey Pro, but I bit the bullet and went with it instead of more expensive devices. I am glad I did. The colors have been spot on and the calibration is easy and takes a small amount of time. Well worth it for the peace of mind that comes from knowing your colors are accurate. My monitor is a 19" flatscreen CRT.

As an amateur musician/hobbyist I am completely blown away by this music software! I am amazed at it's capabilities and am humbled by those who can use most/all of them. Kudo's to the programming team at Finale. I'm not going to go into any detail here because I could never explain the creative experience that it affords the user in 25 words or less. The only thing that I can say is that if you have any music rolling around in your head, PrintMusic will definitely help you get it on paper. Awesome product!

I had been using my version of PrintMusic since 2001! A new computer with Vista required an update, and it's gotten much more sophisticated and easier to use. I really haven't had any problems with Vista (yet, anyway). This is a great value if you don't need the more powerful Finale products. I am a private music teacher and find all I need with PrintMusic.

Late last year, I bought Finale SongWriter 2007, thinking that the fifty-dollar software would be enough for me to compose music for my cartoons. However, after nearly a year of not being satisfied by its limitations, I finally paid an extra $50 for an upgrade to Finale PrintMusic 2009, and I do not regret it. For one thing, SongWriter is limited to how many staves of music you can put in it, and PrintMusic doesn't seem to have that limitation. It can also do grace notes, and other things that SongWriter couldn't. I originally sought out to buy PrintMusic anyway, but I thought it would be a bargain to buy the other program instead. Better late than never, I guess.

I love this product. I hated previous Roxio products (trust me they were terrible- Version 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10) except Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 Platinum Edition which was great with Windows XP if installed without Drag to Disk packet writing software. Roxio 2009 (NO Drag to Disk utility) works perfectly with my sony VGN-SZ780 with vista ultimate. Before you install please completely remove any old versions. I like it better than Nero 9 which installs InCD packet writing software if you don't choose custom install.

Just tried to install software today, but NOT happening. Tried it on 2 different computers (1 which is brand spankin' new) and neither would take it. It gets to a point that it decides to quit installing then rolls back (uninstalling itself). Discussions on the web indicate same or similar results with no apparent fixes (but does list some attempts to make a fix). Also, there's not a "Customize" option like most other software. This would allow for only installing certain pieces and maybe narrow down the problems.

I Highly Recommend NOT Purchasing this WORTHLESS software!!! What a waste of time and money.

Prices seem to be going down all around so this Ultimate pack was very close to getting just an adaptor. Even though I have version 10 the new 2009 version didn't seem to have enough changes for me, but the Ultimate version has a lot more.

The big feature is the video adaptor which converts tapes. I guess there are users young enough that don't have a library of tapes, but I needed some solution. Simple process-- plugin and play, convert to video. It's not a miracle and can't overcome the tape playing time. You can though let it run without watching it. Some videos I keep in its original form, others I've processed with the given programs.

The BD plugin is for burning real BD disks. The program will also make BD disks from regular disks and regular drives, an important distinction. The quality seems to be the same but real BD is much higher in content capacity. Aside from this specialized format there's the normal dvd-rw, dvd-vcr, dual layer.

SoundSoap is an in-depth program to fix sound. Version 10 had a simple sound fixer but SoundSoap has much more capabilities. It restores sound and can remove background noise. Smartsound rounds out the extras and is a comprehensive music creator program.

I think many people have done a good job explaining the standard programs in the suite. Those are very good and I think the extra programs are extremely useful.

My first try with Roxio easy media was version 9. Now I have the Ultimate Version with a video adaptor. At first glance 2009 doesn't look very different than 9 but there are now a bunch of new things that make it a different enough program.
Video with Videowave and cinemagic: each program has a few more options from 9. The biggest change I found was the soundtrack. It is now much easier to do. It also edits HD video. None too soon considering tv broadcast changes.
Music: Biggest changes here. It makes batch formatting changes and rips disks from several drives at once. The automix is more elaborate.
Photo: It makes autofixes. If I don't like the results I can use the manual setting changes. More album and slideshow formats.
Gadgets: This is new and makes the program a step above others. I can take any media file and convert it to my phone and ipod. It works the other way by sending media to the pc from the gadgets.
Disk burning: Burning is relatively the same but complementary tools are better. It catalogs the disk contents, something I felt was needed in 9. It burnsHD and blueray disks on regular disks. This version also has a BD plugin to use real BD disks and writers.
The adaptor is not much different from others except there's a lot more programs to support the new digital video.

I've come across some awful and expensive software (like Cakewalk 6~9), but this one takes the cake. It's an intrusive, clunky, resource hog which wouldn't work correctly if the hand of god glided over it.

Right now, it's 12:41AM and I've been trying for the past 8 hours to get MyDVD (Part of this Roxio package) to make a DVD of a vacation I recently took. I'm an IT professional, and I was absolutely baffled on GUI on these interfaces. The only consistency here is that every interface has it's own flavor of 'clunk' to it.

INTERFACE BUGS...
For instance, I'm trying to setup the menu and sub-menus; And, while I'm working it's actually flaking out and moving the graphical elements all over the page. I've had to work on the same menu now 20 times. Not to mention, you must click on the sub-menu icon to navigate to it. But when you attempt to click on it, it moves out of position in the page. Which means if you don't like the new position...too bad...because you're going to have to move the sub-menu graphic back to your original strategic location.

Some of the setup menu's for the objects in MyDVD don't work, or have bugs. For instance, there's a color palette fill in one of the sub-menu's which doesn't work.

I can go on and on about all the interface bugs throughout Roxio 2009, but I'm going to spare that chapter and go to the next.

RESOURCE HOG AND CUMBERSOME...
This software is 2gigs+ out of the box. Which means when you install it, you'll probably be left with 2kb of hard drive space left. They could have saved SOME real space had they used the DIALOG boxes that comes with Windows XP & Vista. But no, Roxio had to be different and create new, cumbersome, confusing, over elaborate dialog boxes. This obviously means that whatever you're doing in the new dialog boxes will take 3 times longer. My experience has been that they're clunky, taking sometimes 5~10 seconds to perform a refresh or task in the Roxio dialogs.

UPON INSTALLATION...
Roxio must have designed this software with the idea that you'll never need to have or install other software. Because the installation package loads up many large programs, WHICH MANY after installation LOAD WITH WINDOWS. I'm baffled, as I look at the list of all the new Roxio related programs in Windows Task Manager. Not to mention, ZoneAlarm is prompting me every 10 seconds with some resource it's trying to mess with...or the FACT THAT IT'S TRYING TO ACCESS THE INTERNET constantly. Here's a another snare in the Roxio sucker net...it would be nice if I could choose the Roxio programs I WANT TO INSTALL, versus Roxio INSTALLING EVERYTHING ON MY COMPUTER!!

As you can see in my review... I'm furious. I'm going to make a recommendation here... DON'T BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!! Treat the positive ratings with a grain of salt...because they're probably from the Roxio Sales and Programming staff.

I bought Roxio 2009 Ultimate, but I figured I'd tell you guys who wanted to spend $49 instead of $99.

DON'T BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!!

A powerful, albeit memory hog product - but it does a great job.
And cannot beat the price!!!
I think (as usual) I only know 25% of its capabilities and I'm learning as I go along. Keep working at it and use the BURN DVD after you've spent some time experimenting with your "Projects" (keep saving them!!).
Adding titles and "buttons" in the opening scene is easy, once you mastered the nuances of the program. Converted 1:40 of tape to 3 DVD's so I can keep them separate.

I'm not sure about the negative reviews, especially those that don't give any detail as to the problems with the product. Just make sure it works with your operating system. I have Windows XP, and the Dazzle and Pinnacle software work well. My PC only has 0.5GB memory, so the Pinnacle SW can run slow at times. I blame the slowness on my lack of memory. I'd really like to give this product a 5. The only reason I can't is that I did have to recapture a couple video clips as the first captures had some bits of choppiness where the video and audio kind-of skip. That could also be my slow PC. I'm not sure. As for what I like: The Dazzle and the Pinnacle SW are extremely user-friendly. The video editing is very intuitive. There's a beginning tutorial after you first load the SW that is worth watching. After that, you're off. It's really fun, and I was surprised at how much you could do. For less than $100, I was not expecting the editing SW to have as many features as it does. It's really a terrific deal.

The video transfers Im doing are good. The sound seems to be a lower volume and for some reason on some scene changes, it will be slow motion for 2 or 3 seconds, maybe there's a solution on the support site but thus far this has been my experience. The title and transition features work well.
