This is a cool add on for my ipod. I have a nano 3rd generation and I can easily look at my screen while running and adjust volume or change the song. The best part of this is the Nike website keeps track of all your runs and makes graphs and helps you set your goals.

I've had this for over a year now and I love it! The online features you have access to are also great, such as joining challenges with other people. A friend of mine said that when the battery starts to run low, you will notice that it is not calibrated correctly (if you are running a know distance), but that's the only negative thing I have to say about it.

If you are a runner so matter what level you are - you will love having this as a partner! It will help keep you motivated and will keep track of how you are doing! The best part of this is that when you sync it up with your Ipod it will send the info from your runs and upload the results to Nike+ site. The other thing I love about the Nike+ site is that you can create challenges to compete with friends, family and people all over the world to help keep you motivated as well!

I was excited to get the Nike+ system to track my runs, until I started to realize it meant buying the transmitter for my iPhone 3GS AND a new pair of Nike shoes made for use with the transmitter. The lowest price pair I found was $50+. After some research I came across this pouch from Grantwood Technology for less around $7. Seemed like a no-brainer at the time and has proven to be a great decision!

The pouch works great and I simply attached it to the pair of running shoes I already owned. Whats more, if I want to switch to other shoes or share the one responder with my wife it's easy to switch the pouch.

I bought this product to use with my ipod. It came in a variety of colors and was just what I was looking for. I had read reviews of similiar products, and for me, a main concern was that I wanted to make sure the pouch stayed in place. I did not want to have to worry about it flopping around or pulling my shoe laces loose. It did none of those things. I am really happy with this product and have recommended it to others.

I needed a pouch to put my Nike+ sensor in since I don't run with Nike+ shoes, and this was recommended to me by a friend. It's perfect--the sensor fits in snugly and I don't have to worry that it might fall out while I'm running. I read somewhere that someone said there's also room to store the little piece that snaps into your iPod, but I don't see how that's true. I had to work a bit to get the sensor in the pouch, which is how you'd want it to be. If there was room to put anything else in there I'd be afraid the sensor would fall out while running. So a word of advice: Don't try to stuff anything else in this pouch except the sensor or you run the risk of compromising it.

Bottom line: If you're looking for a pouch to put your Nike+ sensor in, grab this one. It's cheap, built well and serves its purpose easily and effectively.

I purchased a Nike+ iPod Sensor Kit, but don't wear Nike shoes. Instead of purchasing a new pair of shoes, I decided to give the Sportsuit Sensor case a try. I'm glad I did.

The sensor case is pretty simple. Elastic material encases and secures the sensor to the moisture resistant neoprene and rubber strap. Once the sensor is inserted, run the strap under the lower shoe laces. Fold the sensor side up and fasten securely with the opposite side of the strap. To remove, undo the Velcro fastener, and pull the strap off the shoe.

If you are looking for an alternative to purchasing a new pair of shoes, this case is an excellent solution.

I've been using this with the Nike+ sensor and an iPhone 4 for the last month or so, and have had a very good experience with it. Based on other reviews, I had some concerns about how accurate it would be because of the placement on the foot, but so far it's been fine. I attach it to the cross-foot strap on my Vibram Five Fingers shoes (Sprint) and it stays there very securely (running and walking).

The Nike + iPod Sport Kit is a really cool concept. I use it, I love it. But let's face it, not everyone wants, or even can use, Nike shoes. One size does not fit all. I've seen numerous different pouches, but this is by far the best solution. It's biggest bonus beyond the low price is the fact that it goes on and off by velcro so you don't have to unlace your shoes every time you want to remove it.
The batteries in those sensors will die faster if you walk around all day with it on. So, have your run, then remove it. This solves several problems I was having. Looks pretty good, too.

I own the tunebelt for the 3rd generation ipod but recently upgraded to the 5th generation which meant a new arm band. I went from LOVING my old tunebelt to HATING this one. Wish I could return it. I have used it 3 times and I do not like how hard it is to lock and unlock my ipod because the hole at the top is so small. It is VERY difficult to take my ipod out it sticks to the plastic really bad. I was excited it was tight but trying to get it out is tricky. It is very difficult to use the sensor on the ipod like trying to turn it up it doesn't recognize my finger and if I try to push harder to help it then it ends up stopping my song or going to the next song depending on where I am pushing. I'm mad at this product and feel like I wasted my money big time. :( I also have noticed that the velcro that holds my head phone on is very cheap and feels like it's going to come off at any second.

Band width is comfortable and easy enough to operate even while running.

Cons:

Connector for earbuds is a little awkward
Hole used to put IPod in and take out is too small -- especially considering that you have to take it out after every run to synch it.
pocket is not breathable. dampness and sweat gets into the IPod pocket but does not have a way to get out. Forcing a towel in to dry it out is a hassle.

Tune Belt armband has worked great. I have about 15 inch arms and it fits perfectly. I use it with the Nike Plus sensor and have never had a problem. My only issue would be that the wheel is very difficult to operate through the plastic. Outside of that, it is perfect.

Before I got this I had put the sensor in a plastic baggy and tucked it under my shoelaces. That actually seemed more stable but was a pain, and since I only have one pair of shoes I didn't want to constantly deal with that. Since I can't seem to find a pair of Nike shoes that are comfortable to run in, I needed an alternative to store the Nike Plus sensor. I had been using a Marware Sportsuit and it served me well for a couple years. Here's what I like:
First, snapping it on to my shoes is easy and it seems pretty secure as long as you have it "squeeze" the laces on your shoes. It doesn't flop around if you do that. I place them on both my cross trainers(New Balance) and running (Reebok Zig) shoes. Being able to place it in sleep mode or reset it is easy with the button underneath.

There are two things I don't like. First, I found getting the two piece enclosure to slide on was a slight bit challenging. Once it is locked in, it's good. The other is purely aesthetic but I am over it now. I didn't care for the bright white and reddish orange logo/case of the sensor contrasting against my already ugly black and red shoes. It's ok with my cross trainers as they are white.

The case works simply and effectively. The silicone protects against the elements, solidly attached the unit to the shoe, is so lightweight and well attached that you do not notice it is there, it functions flawlessly - and it is inexpensive.

The only challenges to the design are the insertion of the unit into it, as it may take a few minutes, and you have to unlace and re-lace your shoes with it attached. Then again, that is why it is secure, and you wont accidentally lose the unit, as is described with some of its competitors.

Highly recommended.

I purchased the Nike silicon sensor pouch in Jan '10. I've used it in various running conditions and temperatures. It protects the sensor great and still allows good communication to the Nike-ipod. It's easy to remove from the strings when washing your shoes. I'm ordering a few more to have multiple colors since they out last my shoes!

The pouch was barely wet and I ran through some light puddles. Well worth the purchase. I will buy this product again if needed. Also, I received this product fairly quick so I'm incredibly satisfied with the whole experience.

I purchased the Nike+ sensor holder and iPod arm band to accommodate the extra length of adding the Nike+ device to the ipod. I had originally purchased the Nike+ running shoes that hold the sensor under the sole, but the sneakers were uncomfortable. What's more, my regular iPod arm band was not designed with room for the extra piece that snaps into the bottom of the iPod and is used for the Nike+ program. I found that I was unable to use my Nike+ program at that point. I then found this package deal on Amazon that gave me an alternative. The little velcro piece is perfect to hold the sensor and hook to my regular sneakers securely. And the arm band is sturdy enough and comfortable around my upper arm. I am thrilled with my purchase because, not only did it solve my problems, but the price was right! I recommend this product for anyone who runs using the Nike+ program.

This product seems like a good concept. You can use it with your Nike+ gear, right? So it would seem...
For starters, the band seems to be designed for a much smaller arm. I'm no big guy (barely average at 5'10" 180lbs), but the band cut off the circulation to my arm.
Next, getting your iPod into this contraption is frustrating. It barely fits into the sleeve and it's nearly impossible to get a key in the pocket and have it be easily accessible yet secure. If you use your iPod for more than running (which most do) this product will not be ideal for you.
Overall, this purchase was a waste of my money - I expected too much out of it and all it's doing is contributing to the waste in my trash can.

I guess we all know what it is like while working out or running, to get out your iPod, potentially dropping it, dealing with the twisted cable... this watch remote definitely helps prevent all this and most importantly, contributes greatly to an undisturbed workout or run. There is one downside to it, it took me some time to get it working properly and I was already thinking of sending it back.
After reading reviews on its battery consumptions, I decided to give it a last try and put in a fresh battery and figuring out how it works, it actually seamlessly connects to your iPod as soon as you start working out and has been working perfectly ever since. I have been using it for about 1 year now and use it between 3-4 times a week for 4 hours of running. I have other gadgets that I use, polar heart rate monitor Garmin forerunner, iPod + foot pod but this watch is the one thing, I do not want to miss!

I have the Sport package. It comes with a Receiver, and a Chip you stick in your shoe. With any iPod
you bought from 2009+ you do not need the receiver. You only need the chip (and a holder for it, if you don't have the special Nike+ shoes).
The watch-Remote is the same deal. You don't need the receiver if your iPod is 2009+.
I bought this because I wanted everything to be Nike+. I thought it was better and would link together more cleanly if everything was all the same name brand.
I was wrong.
The Chip synced up nicely in just a few seconds, and I had my Workouts going just fine.
The Watch-Remote is another story.
With the Receiver, without the Receiver, makes no difference. It's not linking up to the iPod Touch.
If you do a search for a few minutes on line about "Nike iPod Watch Remote", or look at the iPod, or Nike+ Forums, you will see a tidal wave of bad reviews, and syncing issues. There are several suggestions, but none worked for me, nor about 70% of the people who had the same issue.
Solutions Include:
--Resetting the ipod
--Updating the iPod
--Putting a new battery in the remote
--Linking/unlinking turning remote commands on/off
--Trying to sync the remote and iPod with Receiver Plugged in (the first time).
--Pressing the PLAY button on the Remote, Before trying to Sync.
According to Tech support: "Replace the battery. The watch function and the light display will continue to function on Low Battery; the remote control function is typically the first function to suffer when battery power is diminishing."
This worked. The battery needed is CR1632. Buy three when you buy your watch. You'll need them.

The left button that controls the Pace, Distance, etc. Announcement, is the Power Song button. You have to press and hold for 3 seconds.
The delay for almost all the buttons is less then .5 seconds.
When pausing and restarting the Workout, it Speaks "pausing Workout" and turns the volume down before stopping. It's not instant.
This remote ONLY WORKS when you are running. I tried tricking it. I moved my shoe around and started the workout. After the shoe didn't move for 2 minutes, the remote stopped controlling the iPod.
Remember this, if you hit a long RED-Light while running.
This remote ONLY WORKS if you are using the Nike+ Workout. It will not control your music if the workout is not running.

I also notice a lot of people giving 5 star reviews for the watch with statements like: "I love it. It's my 3rd one this year. I can't live without it." , "Its great, when it works.", "High Quality, but the battery dies after 2 uses." etc. etc.
5 Stars is supposed to be for something that is perfect, not something with so many obvious flaws.
The buttons are easy to find, but hard to press, there is a lot of resistance. I guess they didn't want you accidentally hitting the buttons.

The watch is almost useless.
Yeah, it looks cool, but you can't just glance at it, and know the time. You have to press the Right button and it will scroll the time with it's LEDs. Tough to read in bright light.
A much better suggestion for controlling your iPod with a Watch Remote is the Timex Unisex Blue Ironman Sleek iControl Resin Strap Watch #T5K049 You can control the music at any time, and it reads as a watch. Snowboarding is good. You can use it with your gloves on.

What can I say, it just works. After looking for a Nike+ remote locally and finding nothing, I purchased this one and it works better than I could have imagined. Go to the next song, push a button. Go back a song, push a button. Adjust the volume up, push a button, down; push a button.

I used to fumble with my encased Nano and end up doing something that I didn't want to happen and with this it's a breeze! I can concentrate on relaxing and my pace rather than dinking around with the volume and skipping a song.

Does it tell time? Yes. Is it 'unique how it does that? Yes. Does it matter to me? No! I don't watch my watch when I'm running, I watch the road!

It's perfect for me and what I wanted.

it worked for a couple of runs after the initial link to my Nike+ receiver on my iPod Nano 3G . Then I could not get it to control the Nike+ interface anymore. after working w/ Nike tech support I had to send it back. Now I am sending the 2nd one back. Don't waste your money or time. it's too bad, this should be a simple thing to program and should work every time. it is extremely frustrating when it stops functioning just before a long run.

PROS:

CONS:

>While the LED watch is cleverly designed (it scrolls the time across the display), its really only readable in a very dark environment (like in a dark room or at night)

>If you have your iPhone in your pocket while you run, anytime you make an adjustment with the remote, the screen powers on and the onscreen controls become active. This is a problem because as the phone is bouncing about in your pocket, your leg may inadvertently activate any of these controls. The fix for this is to put it in an armband or other case you can attach to the waistband of your pants or shorts

>The device was crippled so it can ONLY be used if you are using the Nike+ application and you are on a workout and your shoe sensor is active (ie. your feet are moving). It CANNOT be used to control the ipod of your iPhone otherwise.

>One little bug (fixable I'm sure) - when you end your workout with the remote, the "voice" is supposed to read you a summary of your workout - unfortunately, it cuts off after just a few words. When you end your workout by tapping on the iPhone screen instead, you get the whole synopsis.

SUMMARY:

For me it's worth the money because it's too cumbersome (and dangerous) to manage your music and your run on the iPhone screen.

The remote functions work well overall - but you'll have to invest in a case for the iPhone to keep it away from any contact with your body to avoid inadvertent control activations on the screen.

Don't plan on using it as a watch (or as an ipod remote outside of the Nike+ application).

TIP: turn off the "Shake to shuffle" function on your iPhone or you may inadvertently shuffle your songs while you run

So, like me, you probably don't have Nike shoes. If you did, you wouldn't be looking for a sensor holder, no? I read some reviews and therefore felt compelled to write one myself. Just wanted to say that so far the bean pod is getting the job done nicely. I did a calibration run and a calibration walk a few days ago. Today I ran around another track. I ran two miles which was supposed to be 3.21km...Nike+ said I ran 3.22km. The bean pod works perfectly. It seems pretty durable and you get two for $5 plus shipping. Sounds good to me.
