Oh I love this movie and the great lines all the way through it. It is wonderful. How can we not love Crosby and Kaye singing and dancing. It is just great fun. I think we can say the whole script as a family we've watched it so many times.

Make it a tradition you'll laugh and sigh all the way through.

I have loved this movie ever since I was a young kid. It is a classic. I watch it every Christmas season just to get me in the spirit. Another Pixar film that all ages will enjoy, "Finding Nemo" delivers a simple story with some pretty heavy themes. It's one of those rare gems that will entertain you when you're young, but get all the more relevant and meaningful when you see it again later down the road. Contrary to some of the negative reviews, it is never too violent or too sad for the kids to see, giving only the fun scares that movies like The Little Mermaid and The Lion King had throughout. It's about as universally enjoyable as a movie can get.

Aside from WALL-E, it's the most visually stunning Pixar movie I've ever had the pleasure of feasting my eyes upon. The world of the ocean opens up in a beautiful array of colors with scenery as complex and detailed as the real thing. So much work was put into making it look real, and the producers knew when to make certain creatures look just like their real life counter part (the jellyfish) and they knew when to stylize others (the seagulls). From the true to life things to the more cartoony things, everything here is so exceptionally done, from the overall story arc, to the themes of dealing with loss and learning to let your kids experience life, to the characters, to the voice acting, to the exceptionally crafted DVD itself.

I wouldn't call "Finding Nemo" a masterpiece or a classic, but it aims high and comes very, very close. What it is, though, is an astoundingly well done film that tells a story from the heart that will entertain, stun, and put smiles on the faces of the audience.

OH MY! I've been in love with this comedy since I was 9!!! Most films I can only watch once. This is THE ONLY film I can watch over and over and over again, and laugh just as hard as the first time if not harder! One great thing about it is that it's clean good fun. Overall, this is one of the better sequels out there. The animation is wonderful and I love the soundtrack. This really keeps my 2 year olds attention and he loves Woody and Buzz. I think the first Toy Story was a little bit more unique/original/quippy, but this is great, too.

Very few sequels are as good as the first movie. But, I believe this movie is even better than the original. The creators of these movies are just SO TALENTED. The characters are just great. The writing is great. I even catch myself with a tear in my eye when Jessie tells her story about becoming an unwanted toy, and being given away when her little girl out grows her. It made me think of all the toys I outgrew and gave away. I hope I didn't hurt their feelings too badly! LOL
Anyway, my 4 year old twin girls love this movie. They have even talked about asking Santa for a Buzz Light Year and Woody doll this year.
As one of my girls say..."Buzz Light Year to the ress room, to imfimity and beyond!"
Our whole family enjoys this movie. A true classic!

There is simply no better way to own these two masterpieces of modern animation. Both films are funny, engaging, and surprisingly moving in some places, while technically they stand as perhaps the best modern animation has to offer. But the real stand-outs of the Ultimate Toy Box are the extras - this is the reason DVDs are made. The Toy Box treats the two films exhaustively, from conception, to execution, to production, to marketing and audience reception. It is like taking a crash course in animation and film making from people who love what they do. By the time you are done exploring the making of these two films through the excellent documentaries and commentaries included in this set, you will love animated film-making too. Well worth the money, especially if you can find it second-hand (the set is now out of print), this is a must-own for any animation, film, or DVD lover. Forget the recent two-disc special editions and get the original great set.

I wasn't sure if I should give this film five stars in terms of how it stands against, say, CITIZEN KANE or LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, but after reading many of the other reviews here, I think I should. I can watch my (VHS) video of it over and over - the reasons why have mostly been said by others.
I just wanted to add that, if you have an all-region DVD player and can't wait until it's FINALLY released here, there is a Hong Kong release available at Asian DVD sites, like yesasia. Perhaps Amazon could get this one, review its quality, and offer it themselves?

Many thanks to another review that provided a contact name and email address. I sent an email to Stuart Snaith many weeks ago, and just received a reply today (18 July 2008) from Liz Hammond. Liz said the problems over film rights have been resolved and the Enchanted April DVD is due to be released as soon as December 2008 or possibly as late as Spring 2009. I trust our long wait is coming to a close.

Wonderful performances by Michael Kitchen and Joan Plowright but Josie Lawrence steals the show. I watch this whenever I'm blue and am so happy to own it. It's an intelligent, believable adult fairy tale. The camera work is beyond excellent and the music is superb even as it is unobtrusive. Best of all, it's the opposite of Hollywood. That means no cookie cutter beauties, no slick easy answers, no pasting over awkward moments by incompetent writers with tired pop tunes. This is the real deal folks: a work of art (with humor).

The 1968 animated feature film (limited animation) brought the psychedelic style of art director Heinz Edelmann - not Peter Max - to Pepperland, a Yellow Submarine, Blue Meanies and the Fab Four.

United Artists and Apple Records digitally restored the audio and cleaned the original film negative to deliver phenomenal clarity and colors, which makes this DVD an artistic masterpiece. Directed by George Dunning, the project was initially a means for the band to fulfill its film commitment to UA. The Beatles were not scheduled to appear (actors imitated their voices), but made a cameo appearance in the final scene due to being pleased with the production of the film.

This is not just a classic slice of pop culture, but a timeless journey onto a rainbow of incredible creativity.

They did a great job of restoring it to its original color, and the sound quality was good, too. I shared it with my art students, and they loved it (although some thought it was a little weird!).

What a shame,it seems that movie companies only release Beatle classics on a limited term!!! I'm sure that a 40th Anniversary Edition might easily be on the way but I don't know!!! I'm glad I bought a copy of it when it was in print,because it is no out of print and fetching high dollars on auction sites such as Ebay!!! This WAS a great release from MGM,nice vibrant Widescreen(although it was non-anamorpic,it was'nt to bad sice it was 1.66!)transfer,the soundtrack was awesome too!!! And this disc had some choice extras,although not overstuffed with them!!! Let's hope that with Blu Ray here,maybe a reissue is in the near future,as well as a new DVD,well,lets keep our fingers crossed!!! Is it All To Much to have this great film back in print to enjoy,or will the Blue Meanies keep it locked in the vaults in Pepperland along with Let It Be,that has NEVER seen an official DVD release,lets hope it's soon,not When I'm Sixty-Four,come on All You Need Is Love,MGM,make fans happy again,cause like it says in the film a minute is a very long time!!! Cheers!!!
